Dr. Johnson is excellent; his attention to detail, ability to explain complex issues, and his clear concern and caring. In addition, his staff is wonderful as well, and they respond to concerns quickly and accurately. Thank you!

Left a very bad impression
I met w dr Johnson and his staff for a dbl mastectomy consult after breast cancer diagnosis. I flew in from MI and spent 3 weeks at Mayo for diagnosis and treatment plan. My meeting w this dr was very upsetting and he will NOT be doing my surgery per my choice. Upon our meeting he “took away” reconstruction as a option and wouldn’t even discuss it because he said my bmi was too high at 44. Surgery was 7 months out. I had /have plenty of time to get my bmi under 40 to be able to have reconstructive surgery. He would not explain his reasons breaking it down like he should have, of why, of what the weight needs to be to back into the bmi so that I can get reconstructive surgery. I was feeling very judged by him, very fat shamed, and it left a very bad taste in my mouth. I since have a consultation scheduled and have chosen a great surgeon that will do my surgery and reconstruction. My bmi now is coming down at 42, my goal will be to be at 35/36 at 175 pounds by July.
