Dr. Chen is my absolutely favorite doctor at UC Irvine Hospital. He's excellent. He understands how to readjust the setting on my brain shunt and he has really improved my life. I value him greatly. Thank you.

Dr Chen is a wonderful doctor. He is exact in everything he does. He is an expert when it comes to my condition known as Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension. He has been monitoring the vp shunt he inserted into my left ventricle in 2018. If I have pain in the area, he knows what must be done. I respect him greatly.

Everyone, but especially the nurse and doctor, were very attentive and thorough. Spent more time with me than most doctors I've had in the last five years since I started being sick. Very, very pleased with this first initial appointment in neurology. Thank you.

Dr. Chen is very skilled in neurosurgery and in treating hydrocephalus & NPH. He has a great bedside manner. I have known him for 5 years from UCI lectures on hydrocephalus, and have seen him as a clinic patient for about a year. He's very knowledgeable in Neurosurgery and hydrocephalus, and has a great bedside manner. I give him a 10 out of 10 rating.

Dr Chen's depth of knowledge and his ability to inform me about my situation - what to look for, what to hope for - I'm encouraged now knowing someone so knowledgeable is on my side.

Very helpful and he was very attentive to what I had to say.

It took a LONG time to schedule this appt . Being told they needed referral from Dr was good and sent in quickly. . Then requesting notes. I had electronic copies but couldn't accept them from me even though I could have provided specifics. Then clinic manager refusing accepting the notes from previous hospital medical records dept as "too many." I felt the hoops to jump through were excessive since he had been under neurosurgery care his entire life and only had to make this change as aging out of children's hospital services.

Dr. Chen and his staff was fantastic. We've been searching for six years to find a good neurologist or brain surgeon as Dr. Chen is. He was wonderful. He was optimistic. He was just great. And we aren't used to that. We've been getting the runaround for almost six years now.
