Dr. Jeeten Singha, DPM

Recently had toe bone surgery March 2024. Repair was done successfully. Dr. Singha was friendly but due to foot brace was too heavy that I wore, I had intense knee pain for 6 weeks. The post care was poor. When I shared that I had knee pain, the solution recommended was to GO see another Orthopedic in the Duly group. This was most annoying. This Insurance with Duly cost me more out of pocket than the Northwestern Dupage hospital as well. I regret choosing the convenience of getting the surgery at duly(closer to home) instead of going to the Dupage NW hospital. Northwestern Medicine out of pocket fees for the same surgery was not as high. I did not expect to have knee pain for 6 weeks post the big toe bone straightening surgery. That was unexpected.

I saw Dr Singha twice, first time I thought he may have been having a bad day, but his arrogant attitude was unchanged second visit. He didn’t take out the time to review my chart to see that I had a prior visit with him. Although his title is “podiatrist “ he introduced himself as an orthopedic surgeon and since the reason for my visit was for an infected ingrown toenail, he told me he doesn’t do toenails and spent less than 5 minutes with me, advising me against soaking and applying antibiotic creams, which I had been told to do by another podiatrist who I couldn’t get in to see. A podiatrist who doesn’t see patients for an infected toenail should update his bio.I will certainly never make the mistake of booking an appointment with him and would NEVER recommend him.

Singha did a bunionette surgery using a Stryker Prostep MIS implant that he never discussed with me, nor obtained my consent He billed my insurance an extra $2856 for the device, which my insurer denied as double billing. At surgery he stacked the cut bone rather than align and missed the bone with the screw. By week 16 I had severe pain, Singha said my x-ray looked great! I could run and jump. Then I caught a glimpse of my x-ray from across the room and said, "wait, go back I think the screw is causing my pain". He then stopped responding to my request to remove the screw, as he initially said would be simple. My 1 and 3 week x-rays showed the missed screw, but he reads his own x-rays and never informed me. I had non union of the misaligned bones, the bone was eroded by the loose implant. At this time I have had my first reconstruction with extensive bone grafting, a metal plate and 5 screws. I am on bed rest 23 hours daily and non weight bearing for at least 1 month.

I have every confidence in Dr Singha after only my first appointment with him. Office staff is always welcoming and friendly. Dr Singha is that too along with exuding competence and positive self-confidence.

Dr. Singha did surgery on my severed achilles and provided excellent advise and care. He is prompt, friendly and has a very able assistant. Dr. Singha is young and seems to be less rushed than other specialists I've encountered. Despite his age, I would highly recommend him.

Dr Singha is thorough. His bedside manner is excellent. He diagnosed and treated my foot problem immediately after running various tests. I was glad to meet a kind and caring doctor, which, unfortunately, is not necessarily a given.

This was my first visit with Dr. Singha and I was very impressed. He is a true professional but also very courteous and friendly. I will not hesitate to see him again if the need arises.
