The doctors, nurses, and other members of the medial staff were very professional and made me feel that my wellbeing was being prioritized.

I have seen many doctors for major issues and never before have I been given such detailed explanations and choices.

Dr. Shen was very thorough and I had a great meeting with her. The procedure, option, and the recovery was very detailed. What put her above and beyond was the notes she wrote. As a breast cancer patient, many things were running in my mind and there were so many fact to digest. I can now look back at the notes she had written. She is amazing!

Dr Shin is amazing and took very good care of me. The anthologist was also superb. I was confident in their care of me.

I thought everything was great. I wanted to stay a night instead of outpatient since I knew the care would be good. I wish I could have stayed.

My experience was very positive. Both doctors saw me and talked to me before surgery and the reconstructive surgeon worked with me for a long time to plan the work and talk about it. The nurses were always around and checking on me before and after the surgery. I felt well cared for. Plus I was there on a day with a lot of pediatric patients. I got too see how wonderful the staff was with kids.

I was absolutely blown away by the amount of time Dr. Shen spent with me and how thoroughly and patiently she explained everything to memy condition, the pathology, the treatment options. I lack words for how grateful I am for her incredible generosity.

Dr. Shen left a powerful impression on me. The level of care, attention, support I felt walking into her office each time was unlike any other doctor's visit I've had. She made me feel like I could put my full trust in her and that she would care for me in the same way that I would for myself. This is rare in the medical field and I believe Dr. Shen's altruism and passion for helping people is what makes her such an incredible surgeon. I feel lucky to have been referred to her for my breast surgery.

Dr. Shen is fantastic. She is very knowledgeable and specializes in breast cancer treatment and surgery. My mom and I came here for a second opinion and we are glad we did. The first surgeon I went to where we waited 5 hours for a family consultation just to have him explain 10 minutes the procedure. It was a very annoying experience and caused a lot stress, not ideal for people who are looking for treatment. Our PCP recommended UCLA and we are very glad! Although we waited for about 1 hour to see the doctor, it was worth for a professional like her. Dr. Shen spent at least 30 minutes explaining everything to us, and when I attempted to jump ahead, she kindly put me in my place. I totally understand where she was coming from, as she is the expert who has 17+ years of experience and I only did my research online. She answered all our relevant questions and assured us of the best procedure possible. The staff there is good too. They spoke Chinese and I believe someone spoke Spanish

Dr. Shen has truly been a life-saver and exceptional treatment coach to my aunt/godmother in her yearlong battle with an aggressive & extremely complex form of breast cancer. My aunt was diagnosed with a very aggressive form (Her2+)/more complex form of breast cancer back in Nov 2019. Although my aunt’s 2019 health insurance didn’t cover for her care, Dr. Shen’s exceptional care team made it a priority to schedule my aunt’s appointment first thing in 2020 and her team has been flexible and accommodating with my aunt’s insurance situation considering the medical urgency! During the initial appointment (and many subsequent appointments after that), Dr. Shen has always demonstrated compassionate care, patience, professionalism, and her top-notched clinical knowledge in the field!
