Dr. Jean Reinhold, MD

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Reinhold’s for years but after giving birth to my first baby, I was trying to get on birth control. The prescription she gave me was different from the one I was taking before I got pregnant and I had nothing but issues with it. I called to have her change it and that didn’t work and I never got to actually speak to her, it was always a nurse. I didn’t have any luck with the next two we tried after that one so I eventually stopped taking it. I had my annual exam scheduled a year out and a few months before they called to say she’d be out of town that day and doesn’t have anything available until NEXT YEAR?! I felt like she was just trying to drop me as a patient because I was calling & messaging trying to find the right BC for me and she figured I wouldn’t be having anymore kids since I’m a little older but here I am pregnant again and having to find a new OB…I felt like the Avon CC couldn’t have cared less either…just sad and unfortunate IMO

She harassed me for wanting to do more research before getting the flu and COVID vaccine. She made it clear that it was not what she agreed with and tried to scare me into getting it by saying I wasn’t taking care of or protecting my baby. Not sure what happened to “my body my choice”. I didn’t see it as wise to jump into something I had little knowledge on. I didn’t need to be judged for wanting to take time before making a decision. The appointment was also very rushed and I wasn’t not given a chance to ask many questions.

A formal complaint has already been filed and pending investigation with the Cleveland Clinic, but I wanted to also post here warning others of the type of behavior Jean S. Reinhold displays as a medical "professional." On 1/6 I delivered my first baby via c-section. I was experiencing bad pain in my incision site a few days later and was unable to get in to see my primary OB for a week. His office instead scheduled me with Dr. Reinhold in Avon because I live in Westlake, and this was the closet office. I was sitting in the room waiting for Dr. Reinhold to come in when I hear her say to the nurse outside, "Why is she here?" The nurse tells her I wasn't able to get in with my primary doc and I live in Westlake and this was the closest and soonest available appt. Dr. Reinhold responds with, "Wow. It's BEYOND ME how someone could go to a random STRANGER for this" in the most disgusted voice. She quickly walked into another patients room, but when I opened the door the nurse apologized

I was nervous about a minor surgical procedure. Dr. Reinhold was transparent the entire time about what was happening, which I REALLY appreciated. She was also hilarious and reassuring. I will stick with her as long as I can; never been more comfortable with an OBGYN before :)

Dr. Reinhold is probably capable but not for older patients. I went in for pelvic pain I thought might be due to shingles with no rash or a nerve issue. My primary care doctor wanted me checked out. She all but laughed me out of the office and I cried all the way home. I've always gone for annual visits but will probably switch since I'm done with menopause.

Dr. Reinhold is an excellent physician. She's thorough, efficient and caring. She takes time to answer all your questions. Highly recommend!
