Dr. Otrakji is a great doctor, very knowledgeable and his office is run very efficiently and his staff is friendly and very helpful. When you call the office you are not put on hold for an hour or put on a recording then sent to another recording you get a very nice person to help you! And he will answer all your questions and will take as much time as needed to explain your problems with you. I never have the feeling of being rushed at all. Dr. Otrakji is very patient and very kind. My health problems are many because I am diabetic with kidney issues so I trust him after all these years. I have other family members who also go to him. They are relieved to have such a caring doctor which you don't find anymore.

My husband passed a few years ago and I live with my son and his wife and my grandkids. I had high blood pressure and hipertension because my health has not been too good. My son made an appointment for me to see Dr. Otrakji. He was so understanding and explained everything in such a nice way even I could understand. The other doctor we first went to she seemed interested at first but she wanted to put me on dialysis right away. Dr. Otrakji said no let's wait after he saw my tests. It has been a year and a half and I am doing very well. I trust him and I know I am not just another patient. All of his patients really are happy to have him because we talk in the waiting room about how lucky we are to have him as our doctor. We do telemedicine now and I look forward to talking to him he lifts my spirits and I feel like he is watching out for my blood pressure and diabetes issues. I am working hard at staying away from salt that is my big downfall. Ada

Thank you Dr. Otrakji for being there for us. Mom was afraid to go on dialysis like probably most people until she spoke with you. You kept her off for almost a year and now that the time has come for her to go on it she is doing very well. She looks forward to seeing you because of your knowledge, understanding and kindness. We as a family cannot thank you enough for making this transition in her life and ours so easy. We always know you are there for us. There is a special place for you in our hearts. Thank you also to the #1 BEST staff in Hazlet all so thoughtful. It is the kindness and care you give in life that make a difference!

My experience with Dr. Otrakji has been great. Awesome bedside manner and always has time for questions and makes himself available any time. He identified all my complicated issues right away and took me into dialysis treatment. The staff is amazing and very helpful. Your appointment time is your appointment time which is nice. The doctor is very caring person. He is one of the best doctors we know, and me and my wife go to many between our diabetes, hypertension and pulmonary problems. The new dialysis center in Hazlet is really excellent and it is rated one of the best in New Jersey. We are lucky to be in it and Dr. Otrakji is the Medical director of it.

Dr. Otrakji is a smart, caring physician. He is a rare gem in today's medical field. He personally called several times to answer my concerns with my dad. We don't take advantage of this but appreciate him very much. He takes time in office visits to listen & explain. He saved my dad's life and is a very gifted doctor. He is a shining example of how a physician should be. The doctor was very patient with my dad and put him at ease to where he felt comfortable with eventually going on dialysis. I love his work ethic and bedside manner. He is very approachable and my dad brags about Doctor Otrakji to the other patients when he is on dialysis. He is there for you something you don't see much of anymore in medicine. My dad has many medical problems but we know he is getting the best help he can get with Dr. Otrakji and his amazing team. He is a great doctor. He will listen to everything you say and talk to u like you are a person not look down on you I really like him. By far the best and most professional. He has been my doc well over 10 years, and I would follow him anywhere because he is a one of a kind type of doctor. The minute you meet him you know he is smart, kind and your medical troubles just melt away. My wife or sister usually come with me to my treatment and they say the same thing about Dr. Otrakji. He is the medical director of the dialysis center and it is the only one around with 5 stars thanks to him and his staff who are as kind and smart as him. Thank you Dr. for keeping me going strong!! He, Dr. Otrakji, is very professional, very smart and a very compassionate doctor. If you are searching for the best, he is the best. I originally started with another doctor. She talked in circles and we had no idea what she meant. She talked and talked but my wife finally said forget it. She wasn't around and then when she was she acted like she was very interested. She had no clue. I don't think she even knows we left! Dr. Otrakji is THE BEST and has helped me tremendously. He listens and answers questions in a straightforward way and doesn't rush you. Me and my wife are very nervous patients as it is and just wanted someone who cared enough to explain things. There is so much improvement in how I feel. He is the medical director at the dialysis center an the rating at the center is the best you can get. Great people who work for him too. Don't be nervous go to him I had so many medical problems and my health turned around. Glad I listened to my wife for once.

My experience with Dr. Otrakji has been excellent! And I have complicated health problems so I see my cardiologist, my internist and Dr. Otrakji who is a nephrologist. Dr. Otrakji is sincere, interested & very focused on helping my blood pressure & kidney issues. He was referred by my internist who I too am very grateful because he is also very caring. Dr. Otrakji was brought in to consult when I was in the ICU at the hospital. I liked him immediately because he listens and cares and you can see that he wants to solve my health problems. Once I got to know him, I found he has a nice sense of humor which truly helps me to relax. He has a very calming personality. I have white coat fear so that disappears with him. His intense focus makes you feel you are the only one he is seeing that day. I also appreciate his staff Ann and Heather. They are warm, funny & very professional. The minute you walk into his office you feel like no matter what is wrong with you it will be ok & get better.

Dr. Otrakji is just what I was looking for in a nephrologist and I am so happy he was referred to me by my internist and by a friend who works at the hospital. He is very caring, knowledgeable and kind. For me, that’s very important. I’ve had my share of hypertension, diabetes and other issues and need someone who explains everything. He explains everything in a kind caring way. Nothing worse than a doctor who pushes you out of the office and many these days do that. I had a list of questions last time and he took the time needed to explain to me what I wanted to know. I am a pretty good patient and I listen to him and stay away from salt which is my downfall! His office staff is always very nice and helpful too. I highly recommend him and wouldn't go to anyone else.

I am a diabetic and have many medical issues related to my diabetes. I was sent to Dr.Otrakji by my internist for my kidney problems.Dr. Otrakji was so wonderful he was a Godsend. He is very understanding and knew immediately what my problem was and solved it so that I feel much better. Usually my husband and I are very worried about all of my medical problems that come with my diabetes but his office staff and him put our minds to rest. I know that when I have a medical problem with my kidneys he will be there to help because he has been there for me being I am a diabetic. The girls in his office are very nice too and also helpful weather it be when we are sitting in the waiting room or when me or my husband calls on the phone. Just wanted to write this to thank Dr. Otrakji and his office girls for their really good care. One of our neighbors is a nurse she said that he is one of the most respected doctors in the area being he is smart and kind hard to find combination these days!

We got an appointment with Dr Otrakji right away. Everyone at the office was very helpful. Dr Otrakji was a big help. My problem was quickly diagnosed and everything worked out well. My neighbor also goes to him because she is on dialysis and she wouldn't go anywhere else. I have called Anne and Heather in the office many times to help me with my prescriptions because sometimes my husband mixes me up. And they are always there to help. I recomend him very highly. My internist was right when he said there is only one Nephrologist to go to. Oh and my internist is also great!! C.Abate Red Bank, N.J.

Dr otrakji takes care of my mom. He is very kind and always available. My mom was so nervous to get dialysis but he made us all feel secure about it and is always there to explain to us when we have questions. His office girls are so nice too in an old fashion way taking the time to be kind and not rush you out the door!! We really appreciate Dr O as we call him and the office ladies. Dr O is medical director of the dialysis center and it’s a 5 star center not too many of those I can tell you that. Anyway Dr O makes our family and people we met at the dialysis center who sit next to mom feel cared for and this means a lot! Really excellent care he is the devoted type doctor!

We have tried to see this Dr. for a month. I was told by his office that after recieving my test results my kidneys were only functioning at 1/3 of capacity. Not only can I not get an appointment but I am told he is not in the office. No one calls me back. I decided to find a new Dr. and when I asked them to fax my test results to another specialist they told me it would be better if I came to pick them up because it was too many pieces of paper. I would not reccommend this Dr. or office.
