Absolute Incompetence by administrative staff My experience has been mostly negative. I have Dr. Patel for about and frankly since I just needed some cholesterol medication I was happy to just deal with the terrible front office every 6 months. Frankly they try to get an appointment (and payment) every way they can. Need to get some bloodwork, you have to come in, have to read those results, you have to come in, need a referral you have to come in. The attention I received was subpar every time, the doctor barely looked at me or talked to me. If that was everything I would be ok. I have been calling for a referral everyday for the last 4 days and each time its a different excuse, first it was that the person that sends those out is out of the office. Ok, understandable. Call back again the next day, told me they will send out by end of day. OK, let me just call again on Monday, the girl totally forgot (THEN LIED ABOUT IT) because when she did try to send the insurance change (reas

Worst experience ever, with him and his staff..

Would not listing to my problems.

I have been a patient for the past 5 years. The only good thing is the doctor. I have stayed solely because the doctor is very caring and thorough with his exams. The waiting room is always clean but the furniture is torn and I ripped my pantyhose once before on the raggedly sofa. The office manager is so rude . She talks over you not caring at all. It seems that they are caring more about the money instead of the patient. I was charged a $35 same day cancellation fee in October for an appt that I never scheduled when I advised them that I had to go to work. I am disabled on medicare and I dont have extra money to pay for this office's incompetence. And now today, I have decided to leave and go elsewhere because I called today to cancel my appt and re-schedule because my daughter is sick with strep throat and I am her primary caregiver as a single mother. They are charging me another $35 cancellation fee for my family emergency. They really don't care.

I have been seeing Dr J for over 15years. I trust him, appreciate him

The office staff is not helpful, incompetent, and severely lacking with patient information security. Two times that either myself or my wife has requested medical records/info, all the receptionist has asked for is date of birth without verifying proper identification. During a routine physical, the medical assistant did not wear gloves when drawing blood. They also didn't know if they could fill out a biometric screening form for my employer after I had my physical. The PA is great.

Dr. Patel is wonderful. The girl at the front desk needs to learn how to do her job. She called and told my daughter she wasn't covered under my insurance, when I called back the same day, I was told she was wrong and my daughter was covered. My daughter went to her appointment today, and the girl told her she wasn't covered. I called the office, she said I'd have to call back Monday. When I asked her name, she left me on hold for 12 mins and never picked back up. My daughter is 100% covered!!!!

Dr. Patel's office was very clean and well maintained. The staff was polite and friendly. I would definitely recommend Star Primary Care to friends and family.

I have nothing good to report about Dr. Patel other than he was out very often, and his fill-in dr.was VERY GOOD! His interns were very knowledgeable and professional.

Dr. Patel always takes time to listen never rushed. Been seeing him over 13 years now

He has his hands full with my 79 yr old cowboy. Thank God he can take a joke as Mr. JRS is a joker. Thanks to all there. Nice people.

Always prompt, courteous and very professional.

I never feel rushed when I visit Dr. Patel. Even though I?ve only seen him for a few years, he always knows me and is aware of my medical history. He was especially kind and attentive to my husband when he was ill. His staff is prompt, courteous, and caring; far superior to most doctor?s staffs I?ve dealt with in the past. I would highly recommend Dr. Jay Patel to anyone looking for a doctor.
