Dr. Jayashree Veliyath, MD

Dr. Veliyath has been my doctor for 22 years. She is an excellent diagnostician and takes the time to really listen - our appointments are never rushed, and the staff is responsive and accommodating. My husband and I like that it is a small practice. The wait is never more than 5 minutes to be seen, which is refreshing. Because of Dr. Veliyath, we have averted some major health crises over the years. You cannot ask for a better doctor.

They stayed through their lunchtime to see me. I love these people.

I appreciate Dr. Veliyath’s thoroughness. She has a no nonsense style and will tell you honestly what you need to do to get in good health.

Such a huge disappointment! I left my PCP to come to Dr. Veliyath and nothing positive has come out of it so far. I can't get my medication refilled on time, I have to come in for another visit just to get my test results read to me that any other doctor would just read over the phone. I can't even get the medication that I need when I confirmed before transferring to her practice that they would have no issue prescribing. When I arrived the doctor refused to write the prescription and wanted to send me to another doctor. The nurse who sees you before the doctor is the only good thing out of this office! BEWARE!

The staff is spectacular. The front staff has spent HOURS helping me sort through the insanity of my insurance. She goes above and beyond what is really necessary in order to help get the right codes, the right referrals etc. Dr. Veliyath spends so much time going over past history, current ailments etc. to do a through exam. I feel like I finally have a doctor that listens to everything and takes in the whole health idea. I have made sure for the last several years that whatever insurance plan I am forced to choose will ALWAYS include Dr. Jay...she is amazing. I really can not say enough about this practice- a friend referred me to them when i first moved back to Marietta and the level of care and concern is so appreciated!

The ease of getting an appointment was nice, and the check-in experience was fine, but the visit itself was absolutely pointless. I went in with stated severe knee pain, and she barely did any tests, other than palpating the area and asking me what I do for a living. She gave me a recommendation for an equally uncaring orthopedist, and then charged me $200 for the visit. It was kind of theft, in my opinion. It would be nice if doctors wouldn't just look at patients as money, and actually try to do what's in the best interest of the patient. She could have easily listened to my concerns and pointed me in the right direction before even initiating an appointment.

I absolutely despise this sham of a doctor! She did not listen to me, ordered redundant testing (which of course I have to pay for), charged $416.00 for a single solitary visit, an prescribed COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY ANTIBIOTICS! AVOID this woman at ALL COSTS!
