Amazing Doctor
Dr. Jay Wiston saved life...twice. I've been seeing him for 10 years plus and he's an amazing doctor and all around human being. I've struggled with anxiety, depression, ADD and a sleeping disorder for years. He has managed all these through medication management and talk therapy. He was invaluable as he guided me and my family through my husband passing away. Without him, I don't think I would be here. I can't thank him and his staff enough for late night calls, guidance and showing me how to find myself again. If you put in the work, he'll show you the way.

It is for our first appointment. The doctor is not showing up online on time. We have kept calling in but no responses for 10 mins. Called Mequon office, no one is there, called Brookfield and was told doctor might be late but do not know how long. There have been no communications whatsoever . We could not trust a doctor like this, very disappointing

I had seen Dr. Jay Winston for several years and over those years he just kept adding more and more medications. At one point I was maxed out, on the highest dosage, of 3 antidepressants which caused me to have a serotonin storm. I was trying to work full time but living in a fog due to the amount a medication he had me on. For instance at one point I was on Lexpro, Wellbutrin, Effexor, Lithium, Seroquol, and Adderall. When I switched psychiatrist it took me months to slowly wean off of everything, which he said I never would do. I was off all medications for over 10 years. He is a pill pusher and has no idea what he is doing.

Took both of my boys today for new patient appointments. We were able to get appointments within a couple of weeks (unheard of!) and Dr. Winston was great! Both of my boys really enjoyed meeting him, as did I. He was very friendly and professional, and very knowledgeable, thorough, and helpful!

He always seemed like he had better things to be doing. Like he would try and rush me out the door after himself making me wait for him. He actually told me it was my fault for having my issues with people because i chose the wrong people to be in my life. O now have a bad stigma twards all psychiatrists because of him...

Dr. Winston was not easy to talk to - I walked out of my appointment feeling like he did not have the first idea of what I am going through.

Dr. Jay has been a blessing to me and my family. I saw many doctors before him but my insurance changed and that's how I found him. I am so lucky! He's the first psychiatrist who takes the time to really listen to me and help me. I know he truly cares about me and I am so very grateful for his help. He always spends as much time as I need and I never feel like I'm just a number to him. SO glad my insurance changed and I found him!!

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Winston?
Dr. Winston was very rarely on schedule, despite appointments being set up 1-3 months in advance. During one visit, Dr. Winston allowed a representative from a pharmaceutical company into the office to chat about The Packers , taking up about 30 minutes of my appointment. On another occasion he spent the entire visit telling me that he'd diagnosed Brett Favre with ADHD. When I presented with a crisis, he wasn't responsive asking me which medications I would like to try rather than proper care.
