Dr. Jay Robertson, DO

Dr Robertson never rushed our appointments and had a nice manner. He performed a gallbladder surgery as well as an unexpected hernia procedure. Being that it was my first surgery ever I had a lot of questions and concerns. I was very pleased with the care I received from pre op to post op. His on call Dr got right back to me when I had a question a day after surgery and his office staff is really great as well. I would recommend Dr Robertson and Sutter!

Dr Robertson didn't seem to listen to me or read my medical history, because during my first consultation with him he mentioned I may experience sensitivity resulting from a biopsy,but the biopsy had been 2 years prior. He sent me for an MRI and didn't follow up with results. I saw on My Health Online that the asessment was BI-RADS Category 5: Highly suggestive of malignancy, so I left a message with his office for follow up for surgery. I didn't hear back, so two days the next day I left an urgent message in scheduling, consultation as well as for the receptionist. Somehow no one answered the phone! 3 days later someone called back acknowledging I had left a message. By that time I had found another surgeon who made me feel heard and cared for, and answered more questions in 20 minutes than Dr Robertson ever had and immediately scheduled me for surgery. I'm so glad I left Dr Robertson's office! He made me feel like I was at Fry's Electronics:figure it out for yourself and good luck!

I was under his care for 6 months, so I feel I can give you an honest review. I went in for simple hernia surgery and came out with four damage nerves, pain for life, and now unable to work. Also, he does not know how to listen or even hear you. He will let you talk and then goes right on with what he wanted to say and not even hearing you. Now knowing this…do you want to use him?

I was diagnosed with breast cancer and referred to Dr. Robertson. I had a 20 minute consult you are fine here is the surgery date. I was handed a genetic test kit told the results could change the surgery and pushed out the door with instructions. I was NEVER called with the results. I had to keep calling and leaving messages eventually I saw it myself in the electronic chart. I was sent for an additional biopsy and again NEVER called to go over results. Waiting on pins and needles if the additional spot is cancer but NO call! I called and was just sent to a voicemail that was days ago, nothing! I was diagnosed over a month ago. I gave up and called a surgeon who specializes in breast surgery not only did I get the results of the biopsy within an hour he came in to see me on a Saturday and scheduled surgery that week. He took his time to go over everything and was shocked I have never been told any of the details and that my surgery was pushed out for as long as it was.

I cant say enough about Dr. Robertson! He truly saved my life and I honestly couldn't be anymore grateful for all that he did and the OUTSTANDING job he did. I've been dealing with gallbladder issues Since September 2020 going back and forth to the emergency room just to be sent home. No surgeon wanted to operate on me until the last time I fall back into to the hospital 06/2021 and I met the angel himself. He ensured me that he would take wonderful care of me and made me feel Seen and heard. My recover have been excellent and I have to thank him for that. Thank you again Dr. Robertson for all that you did your truly a blessing in disguise!
