Dr. Jay Holland is one of the best primary care doctors in Arkansas. I have been a patient for over 13 years. During this time, I have faced some serious medical issues including breast cancer, and Dr. Holland helped with everything he could. He is very knowledgeable and if he doesn't know something, he will find out for you. His bedside manner is impeccable, and he takes the time to listen to you. Dr. Holland's staff are wonderful, kind, friendly and very helpful. There are no more physicians like Dr. Jay Holland around. It's very unfortunate that some of the best medical physicians around central Arkansas are retiring. Most of the NEW family medical doctors are the type to refer a patient out for anything and everything unless it's a common cold. Even then it takes 6-8 months to see an APN who rushes you through like cattle. It's heartbreaking for those of us who have chronic medical conditions and are treated like just another number.

Dr. Holland has been my PCP for many years. He is a BRILLIANT clinician. He is highly respected by his patients and colleagues. I have a complex history of various health conditions and he has been masterful in directing my care. He doesn’t miss a thing!! I was in his office a few years back and after he checked me, he left the room. When he walked back in, I was bent over tying my shoe. He requested that I get back on the exam table. He began to thoroughly exam my joints, my skin, scars, etc… Afterwards,he told me that I had Ehlers Danlos and was sending me to a geneticist for confirmation. My geneticist confirmed the diagnosis and was shocked that a PCP caught this- just from watching me tie my shoe. Dr.Holland has many wonderful qualities. He’s got a great sense of humor, he’s humble and treats his patients with the utmost compassion. I think what makes him so different from other doctors is that he remains curious and still wants to learn. I am beyond grateful for his expertise.

I’ve never had a doctor that took the time to get to the root of my problems,as Dr. Holland has. He even found a growth that my cancer doctor missed! When I had questions, he would sit down and take his legal pad to explain everything that was going on with my problem, down to a cellular level to make sure that I understood everything. Then he called me personally to discuss my lab tests. Absolutely the best doctor that I have ever had. Highly, highly, recommended!!

I like Dr. Holland. Seriously. Great sense of humor, loves to talk and cut up, is compassionate, listens, and gets to the heart of your sickness. Very often takes his own calls after hours. But that staff, though! It's a key stone cop disaster. He definitely needs to move some people on, or hire someone to do the hiring for him. He needs to clear them all out and start again.

Dr Holland is very personable, but his revolving door of staffers just steadily gets worse. The wait is forever, you rarely get time enough to get an actual diagnosis & did I mention his horrible staff? They are presently a bunch of children who all need a class in common courtesy. He needs to make a serious overhaul on staff or he needs to hire an administrator. They’re doh v him a disservice because he’s a good pcp.

I don't know how the rude office staff hasn't been mentioned. I was a new patient and never even got to meet Dr. Holland because of the less than pleasant office staff. I waited for an hour and 45 min before they told me they moved my appt to an hour and half later than what they told me on the phone. I finally left after I realized that Dr. Holland was 45 min behind schedule and I would not be seen for at LEAST another hour. The staff was rude on the phone and rude in person. Will not return.

Dr Holland goes the extra mile to help his patients. His medical knowledge is astounding and he does everything humanly possible to help his patients. Dr. Holland takes the time necessary to help and explain any condition or procedure you have and never hesitates to refer his patients if they have a condition he can not treat. Easy to talk to and willing to help in anyway he can.

I would and have recomended Dr. Holland to friends and family. He is a caring, considerate and kind doctor. When my husband died from a long illness (he was a patient of Dr. Hollands), Dr Holland came to the hospital in the early morning hours more than once to take care of his needs and to check on me and my children. Dr. Holland is the best as far as i'm concerned and i will use him for my doctor as long as he practices medicine...He is really the best...Judy L.
