LOVE this doctor!
Dr. Torrens correctly diagnosed my diabetes and was able to get/keep it under control for years now. He listens well, and asks questions to understand any new issues or causes of stress. I am very confident in his recommendations.

My husband and I are both patients of Dr Torrens. My husband had Thyroid cancer and I have chronic thyroid issues. We both love Dr Torrens. He’s a great listener, seems very confident without being smug, and explains things well. He’s NOT an ‘alarmist’, but instead is great about putting things in perspective, high risk, moderate risk, etc. Only ‘cons’ are: he speaks very quickly so you really have to pay attention when he’s talking. And he takes as much time with every patient as they need, so sometimes - only sometimes - he runs late with his appointments.

I find him friendly and thorough. Although he speaks quickly that doesn't mean he's rushing you, to the contrary. He spends the needed time with you and answers all your questions. My favorite doctor!

Dr. Torrens is honestly the best. I drive over an hour to see him, and will continue to do so. He works with me on so many of my issues, and has been a blessing. He looks into the whole picture, not just the numbers, and gets back to me right away no matter how big or small the issue. Thank you Dr. Torrens!

Don’t ignore the bad reviews on this website. They are true. The Doctor and the staff and are bad communicators and really don’t care about their patients. They NEVER answer the phone when you call, you’re never able to get an early morning or late afternoon appointment, and they are absolutely UNKIND. Save your thyroid the additional stress and aggravation and go to another practice!!!!

Dr. Torrens spent quality time making sure to understand everything I was going through in order to come to a conclusion. He was able to solve what NO other doctor could. He is incredibly wise and spends timereally getting to know the patient. I recommended him to my brother in law and again he was able to diagnose him and cure his issues after Hodgkin's ...Afters YEARS of doctors not being able to help him. He is very thorough and doesn't just treat you like a numberDr. Torrens restored my hope

I travel an hour to see Dr Torrens. After searching in my county and the surrounding.. none of the doctors LISTENED. Dr Torrens LISTENS. He wants to know how you FEEL. He doesnt just look at the bloodwork. He wants to know your state of mind. He looks out for what is best for you. He doesnt cookie cutter the same Rxs to each patient. Each person is different and he makes sure that you are feeling your best and how to get you feeling even better. I trust him more than my Primary. He's amazing.

Really? Not sure who these people are talking about but he probably told them something they did not want to hear. Dr Torrens is very thorough, honest, and tells it to you like it is in a kind way. Yes- even if you do not want to hear it! It is a good thing. I was insisting and insisting that my condition was because my thyroid was not working - it turned out to be Lymes. He was correct. He is worth the wait.

I went to Dr. Torrens for several years in hopes that after building rapport his social skills would improve, but they didn't. I stayed bc he came recommended by a doctor I trust, but after consulting with others they recommend finding someone I felt more comfortable with. He diagnosed initial medical concerns for me but his follow up seems clumsy and misguided. He made some poor recommendations about weight; after consulting a nutritionist they felt his suggestions were dangerous.

Dr. Torrens is an excellent doctor. He is knowledgable and very helpful. I think the office is very busy, and he needs better office support. I rarely get through on the phone if I have a problem. It takes at least 2-3 months to get an appointment. The receptionist/staff seem stressed out and unfriendly on the phone.

Dr. Torrens is the most thorough physician I have ever met. He treated my son for a chronic illness and left no stone unturned in finding the cause of his symptoms. He referred my son to another specialist and cared enough to keep in touch to ensure my son continued to receive the best possible care. Dr. Torrens gave an 18 year old his life back after so many doctors refused to take the time to care for a young man in constant pain.
