Telehealth
Recent telehealth. I've seen Dr. Witta for 10 years and always find him concerned about my well-being and how my illness (Crohn's Disease) and related health concerns (kidney decline due to Crohn's) are doing. He listens,is thorough, and responds with respect. He will explain in the type of medical detail I need. He is responsive to any concerns I have. My husband is also his patient, and has had excellent diagnosis and treatment,as well. I have recommended Dr Witta to many friends, who also speak highly of his care.

I called with something urgent first thing when the office opened and ask to speak with the doctor. I was given the runaround by his nurse and was ultimately denied the care that I needed. I had no choice but to ask my PCP for help who kindly obliged. I am in the process of transferring to a new GI practice.

Much like the others who left poor reviews, he was unconcerned and almost unwilling to listen to my valid concerns and medical issues I was having. I had to call multiple times on multiple days to get any questions asked, schedule an appointment or get test results. When I did finally get him on the phone, my questions were not answered. I had a test done almost 3 weeks ago....I still have not been informed of the results. He negligently brushed off serious side effects of a medication that resulted in me having to go to the ER with more issues. I have never been treated so poorly by a "Doctor". He gave zero guidance or educational support and left me with more questions and severe anxiety in the end. I am now seeking a new GI to review my records. I intend on making a formal complaint with the hospital and may even notify the state medical board. I strongly suggest finding a different GI than this man.

Received the runaround when just trying to get my diagnosis. He ordered a capsule endoscopy for me, and he had the results in less than a month, but it took another 4 before I heard them. (And it was something I *really* should have been informed about earlier) Heck, I heard about it from ANOTHER doctor who looked at my file before I heard from him. Dealing with him and his office as a whole was just extremely frustrating. When he asked me, "So why did you get a capsule endoscopy?" (As if it was something I just decided to do on my own) It took a lot of control to stay calm as I said, "YOU ordered it." Never ordered a follow-up appointment, so I have to call to make that appointment... which will then be 4 months out from that point. When you tell me I have a chronic condition, I expect you want to start seeing me regularly. I went back to my normal doctor asking for another G.I., because the experience has been so frustrating.

Dr. Witta is by far the best gastroenterologist I’ve ever received care from. I’ve been dealing with what was an unknown condition for over 5 years. I was seen by other specialists and not one can come close to the care and knowledge and professionalism of Dr. Witta. He was able to diagnose me with a very rare condition that he has not seen before. He called me special and to me HE is special, he took the time to educate himself more on my rare condition and presented the evidence to me with great knowledge. He treats me like I’m important and that my concerns and health is top priority. BEST gastrointestinal specialist in New Hampshire, I'd HIGHLY recommend Dr. Witta to anyone.

Dr Witta misdiagnosed me. I found him to be very condescending because I asked too many questions. The only reason he ordered a colonoscopy and cat scan is because he said I wa anxious and only this would put me at ease. The cat scan showed I had a ruptured appendix plus a large mass on my left ovary. He was really uptight when he called me with the news. I wonder why? I was in the hospital for 6 days. He never stopped by to see how I was doing. Nothing more needs to be said.
