Outstanding Optomologist
1. His staff is very caring and takes care of business. They explain what will take place and there's no wait time between each phase for glaucoma testing. It's a one stop shop! 2. Dr Tokunaga is very clear in his explanation of test results and honest. Mahalo Dr.

I am legally blind in my right eye because of cataract surgery with Dr. Tokunaga! Don’t make the same mistake I did! As a glaucoma doctor, he treats high inter ocular pressure (IOP), usually through pressure lowering drops, because this pressure can very slowly, cause permanent vision loss by damaging optic nerves. Does NOT practice “Do No Harm.” Many Issues: (1-2) Dr. Tokunaga prescribed drops or steroids to me that significantly elevated my IOP in both eyes (very painful!) then admitted when I came in "oh yea, I guess this drop or steroid is known to raise pressures, let’s try something else!” (3) His visual field machine was in a bright room, invalidating my test result, but he still charged me for a visit; (4) CATARACT SURGERY PERMANENTLY DAMAGED OPTIC NERVE, PRESCRIBED STEROIDS WHICH ELEVEATED MY PRESSUE TO OVER 40, CAUSING AN EDEMA, AND THEN TOOK 6-MONTHS AND A SPECIALIST TO DETERMINE THAT THE OPTIC NERVE WAS DAMAGE AND HE CAN NOT BE HELD LIABLE!

with Dr. Tokunaga! Does NOT practice “Do No Harm”. I lost 50% of my vision in in right eye after cataract surgery. As my glaucoma doctor, he prescribed drops or steroids that significantly elevated my eye pressure (very painful!) vs. lowering them. his visual field machine was in a bright room, invalidating my test result, but he still charged me for a visit; cataract surgery he performed was painful, damage my optic nerve, he prescribed a steroid that elevated my pressure and caused an edema, then it took a specialist to identify that the optic nerve was damaged during that surgery!

As a doctor he takes his profession seriously as a employer he needs to open his eyes to his staff, majority shouldn’t be there it’s just s paycheck, I really like him but after all these years I’m not able to put up with staff anymore...he will never be really successful maybe that’s why he tries to dilate eyes every 3 months...Jason Tokunaga does not return calls neither does he advise staff to call you RUDE
