Dr. Jason Shen, MD

Dr. Jason Shen cardio Dr. He is a Doctor that needs to be suprervised/monitored and his actions as a cardiologist need to be reviewed. My experience with him was very uncomfortable. He was arrogant and impatient in answering my questions. He was a poor choice to have at the Veterans administation Hospital in Las Vegas Nevada. Even after explaining my concerns to him, he still refused to discuss them with me. He finally told me that if I did not like his opinion. Go get another. Really!

I would recommend Dr. Shen to my family, friends and anyone else that ask me for a wonderful Cardiology Specialist. I was referred to Dr. Shen by my primary Dr. in the early summer of 2001, after several test, he got serious with me and suggested that I have surgery to replace my aortic valve which was in very bad condition. I met with my surgeon and on the early morning of 9/11/2001 (AKA 9/11) I had my surgery. Unfortunately I developed a Staph Infection, which I have always blamed on the 9/11 attack, which kept me in the hospital for 12 days instead of the typical 3 to 5 days. DR. Shen visited me every day and supported me in every way when dealing with the hospital staff. I was very disappointed when D. Shen moved out of my area, he is irreplaceable. It has been a few months short of 20 years since my surgery and I am living happily ever after.

I had a great relationship with Dr. Shen and his team at St. Charles. I'm sorry to be leaving their care as I have moved away from Bend, OR.

Dr. Shen is approachable with a reassuring and kind bedside manner. He put me at ease immediately and my blood pressure dropped significantly in the first few minutes he spent talking and making me laugh. He is thorough and covers all information and details.
