Not impressed
Rushed, fast speaking, and little engagement was observed while accompanying my elderly relative during her exam. Dr. Michaels had previously biopsied a spot that turned out to be melanoma, and urged a sentinel node biopsy to determine if cancer had spread. Due to anesthesia and lymph node risks, a second opinion was sought while summering in ME. ME dermatologist was taken aback by aggressive treatment plan when biopsy wasn't sufficient to adequately determine the chance that cancer had spread. ME dermatologist re-did the biopsy, going deep enough to verify cancer had not been deep enough to have a chance to spread, thus helping avoid risks and potential lymph node side effects. Dr. Michaels never asked about any of this during our face-to-face time, as brief as it was, but did have office staff ask us for medical records request info from ME dermatologist.
