Dr. Lin is a thoughtful, knowledgeable, skilled and caring physician. He was very patient and focused, explaining my condition at the level of detail I needed, while also including me in decision-making about how to proceed with treatment. When I had questions after my initial appointment, he was responsive, making sure I had all the information I needed. His surgical skills were equally high and I feel fortunate to have had him as my surgeon.

Do not go to Dr. Lin
Because I have CMT disease and extreme foot pain Dr. Lin looked at the imaging and determined that I needed the same surgery that I’d had on my left foot by a surgeon in Portland. I told him about another pain in my right foot that I’d had since I had been a child. He said we’d talk about that problem after he fixed this first issue. Right before surgery I asked him, again, why I was having so much pain in the other area and could he look for the problem and, again, he said he would address that later. Surgery went forward. I decided to get an opinion on the other pain in Portland. He says on the MRI the problem was “elementary”. My foot had been broken at some point and the foot had never been set, so I had a Calcanial Navicular fusion and it could have been fixed in the first surgery. I decided to get the surgery by my surgeon in Portland. That area hasn’t hurt since healing. So I had 2 surgeries and not just one. Why didn’t Dr. Lin fix this in the first surgery?

Went to get a straight forward toe surgery & he made a decision while in surgery to do something in addition to what we had discussed that I didn't know about & would not have agreed to. When I saw him for post op appt & explained the pain & problems I was experiencing related to his "ad-on" surgery, I asked what options I had. His response was "amputation". To this day, now years later, I still have daily pain due to what he did.

Dr. Lin and his staff are talented, caring professionals. He skillfully rebuilt my collapsed arch. I was very apprehensive about surgery, but Dr. Lin and his P.A., Missy Coombs, explained everything in detail. My take home packet explained everything I needed to succeed on my end and was a great reference. They were both quick to respond to any questions or concerns before and after surgery. The surgery center staff, and especially the anesthesiologist, provided calm professional, attentive care as well. The whole process was brilliant and had me up and walking faster than I could imagine!

I had been wearing a brace on my left foot for 15 years. It allowed me to be mobile. The foot deformity was deteriorating and getting worse to the point wearing the brace was painful. Dr. Lin was extremely confident he could correct the condition and eliminate the need for the brace. He proved it in the form of x-rays from other surgeries he has performed. The foot, ankle and leg are now properly aligned. I can now enjoy a walk with my wife in the soft sand at the beach. Dr. Lin, Missy, Taylor and staff were a fabulous team to work with. It is now 8 months since the surgery and I am extremely satisfied with the whole experience. It is very important to follow their instructions for the recovery process and pain management.

I was advised after the bunion reductoin I would go back to work in one - two months. I have been without the use of my fully active life, Dr. Lin broker my foot in eight places, I had no idea. Dr. Lin will not take responsibility for runing not only my foot for an active life, I can not even work. Not sit long, swells, aches, half my foot from toes up is numb, lots of stitches swelling. Watch for all media that I will advise. Where are the one stars listed above?

I had a badly deformed foot - Bunions on both sides, hammertoes for the middle three, my big toe was at a 60degree angle into the rest of my foot. Dr. Lin was very professional in our discussion of what he could do to correct that. He was clear as to the lenght of recovery, the possibility of the pain levels, His associate was very willing to let me talk and ask questions as I struggled with whether or not to undergo the surgery. I felt like he listened to me and his team is more than prepared to help any patient walk through the experience. Pain levels were very manageable, recovery was without incident and I had the information I needed every step of the way. I could not be happier with the results. I have a foot I am not ashamed of. Before suurgery something on it hurt all the time at levels I had learned to live with. I have almost no pain except when my foot is very tired and that is very minimal. It is the best medical decision I have made in a long time. Ruth Penton

I am 6 months post surgery from right ankle full replacement. Through pre and post surgery visits I was treated with professionalism throughout the process. My recovery is exceptional and I am now walking normally and pain free. My surgery was anything but normal as Dr. Lin reconstructed problems from birth (partial club foot). The surgery required my right heal to be cut in two and slide under the new ankle to properly align my right leg. The best part is I'm 70 years old having no problems.

I was referred to Dr. Lin for a foot situation that caused me pain with every step I took. The foot was not only painful but had some deformity issues also. I was skeptical about the surgery and any relief it would give me. But, to my great surprise and relief Dr. Lin not only corrrected the deformity he also took away all the pain I was having with every step I took. I truly couldn't believe it and told him that, but he knows what he is doing and does a marvelous job. I could not be happier.
