This was one of the most frustrating medical encounters I have experienced. I made a first-time appointment for debridement of a keratotic lesion. A long-standing issue related to my orthopedic history and typically managed by podiatry. Within seconds of the visit, I was told she does not treat callouses due lack of insurance reimbursement but is happy to look and talk to me. I declined consultation and plan to f/u with my ortho surgeon for an appropriate recommendation. Be careful to verify what treatments are provided before scheduling an appointment with Jasmine Catalano, MS. Also, if you have access to MyChart be sure to check her documentation. My experience was horrible which is a shame Mount Sinai System typically has great providers.

Avoid like the plague
The worst Doctor I have ever visited in my life. Within 30 seconds of the appointment I was cut off, not allowed to ask questions, and the disrespect from the doctor required me leave the appointment. Avoid this Doctor if you seek a Doctor that will listen and provide quality care. I left the appointment stunned at the experience.

I have had foot pain for a very long time, and have seen several doctors for it without any success. Dr. Catalano correctly diagnosed the issue, and order physical therapy. Within a few weeks, my foot pain was gone, and now for the first time in over a decade, my foot is pain free!

I think the Doctor is great but I think people that visit should line up all their ducks in a row. My son had plantar warts on the bottom of his foot. The doctor's office said it was routine and would be covered by Aetna. The Dr. shaved down the hard skin around the wart & used a liquid nitrogen spray. It would take 3 visits. Aetna was billed over $600. $300 for the office visit - $182 including copay covered it. They didn't cover the treatment - it went against deductible. I had to pay $182!
