Worst dentist I have ever been to

Dr. Lising is a wonderful dentist. It is so hard to find a good dentist these days that I am so glad I came across her. She addressed my TMJ when no one else noticed and did a great job at repairing my filling. Thanks so much!

Dr. Lising is my dentist for life! I have my mother and my soon to be fiancé going to her. She is very thorough, she listens to you, and has great bedside manner. She was the first dentist I've ever had that addressed my TMJ, I had no idea why I was feeling how I was feeling and she has managed it for me and I feel so much better. She has late hours, Saturday appointments (under certain circumstances to established patients) and her staff turnover is very low. Her financial manager/office manager is a doll as well as are all her staff. State of the art equipment and recently implemented EPIC/mychart (if you have it you'll understand the beauty of this) I intially picked this a random dentist off of my insurance list when I used to live off Fountainview and Westheimer and Dr. Lising at this dentist office showed up. Best choice I ever made!

I had very bad experience with Dr. Janice Lising. She has messed up my tooth by not placing the crown appropriately. There is no gap between this crown and adjacent tooth. Now I cannot floss that tooth. Not only she has messed up my tooth but she was very rude to me when I went again to let her know that I cannot flow. She even did not say hello, just took the floss and put in with difficulty & pain and said she cannot help because crown is already glued to the tooth and left after seeing for a minute & did not let me talk because she knew that she has completely messed up my tooth. I think she should be re-trained before placing any crown on the other people. Additionally she is very greedy as mention by other reviews: I think I did not need crown but she forced me to put one.

Came in for an exam and regular cleaning. Dr. Lising forced deep cleaning plus irrigation plus laser treatment, said she couldn't do just a regular cleaning but still charged me for the exam and x-ray despite knowing my appointment was for a regular cleaning. She also said people of my ethnicity tend to have gum disease more than others. This is not the first time I've had a negative experience. The first time she forced all kinds of extra services and sent a huge bill for something and threatened to send it to collections if I didn't pay. That was a few years ago. I regret giving them another chance. Never returning again.

Dr. Janice Lising refused to do a teeth cleaning unless I agreed to some gum treatments that were partially or not covered by insurance. I have not had this issue with any other dentists before or after this visit. And, worst of all, after the dentist insisted I get the additional treatments done, her assistant allowed me to choose which treatments I wanted done and to skip most of them. Clearly a scam to make money off of patients. Avoid this dentist.
