Dr. Janet Parnes, MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Parnes for over 30 years. I went to her many years ago on the recommendation of a colleague and I have alway received the highest level of care. Dr. Parnes takes her time, listens to you and consistently makes you feel like a valued patient. I have seen at least 4 other gynecologists previous to Dr. Parnes and I would rate her 5 star.

Dr. Janet Parnes should not ever treat patients with endometriosis. Her information is out-of-date and go against the established standards of care for treating this condition. The only treatment she was willing to offer me over the course of six years of documented complaints of pelvic pain, dysmenorrhea, and dyspareunia was birth control. This is no longer considered the gold standard of care for endometriosis; excision via laparoscopy is. When I told Dr. Parnes at each visit that I was unwilling to take birth control due to its unmanageable side effects for me, she refused to pursue additional treatments and ignored my pleas for laparoscopic surgery to relieve my pain. When I finally wore her down and she consented to perform an excision, I had Stage IV Endo, deep infiltration with bowel, bladder, and ureter involvement. I required a hysterectomy (also not the standard of care for treating Endo) and my life is forever changed because of her years of negligence. Run far away.

Dr. Parnes is very patient and makes you feel comfortable in an uncomfortable situation. Spends quite a bit of time listening which is so valuable today.

Dr Parnes is the best. She is so awesome to talk to and always makes me feel comfortable. Very knowledgeable in her field, and will take the time to answer any questions that you may have.

waited almost two hours for well woman exam not acceptable at all will not return they want you to show up half hour early send you emails and texts..... what a joke i would give zero if i could have uncaring front office staff and office manager

I was treated.by Dr. Parnes when she was practicing at AGH in Pittsburgh Pa. I presented to her with a very rare case of endometriosis. In fact, it was rare enough that Dr. Parnes (and most other Gynecologists) had never seen it before. After conferencing with a colleague she agreed to do my hysterectomy but was concerned it wouldn't fix my years of problems. Surgery did fix my years of pain and serious illnesses. I will always be grateful to her because she LISTENED TO ME WHEN OTHERS WOULDNT. ?

Dr. Parnes is very nice, pleasant and very intelligent. I really like her and I think she is a fantastic Doctor. She always seems to know me when I come in. Highly recommend her to any woman!!!! She also takes her time with you and very caring.
