Bellevue Walk-in. January 5. My symptoms were massive frontal headache and severe neck pain. No cough; no fever. Flu A test negative; Flu B positive. Prescribed tamiflu. January 6 - disoriented and confused; could not answer basic questions. Admitted through Vanderbilt ER. Diagnosis: bacterial meningitis. Should she have known this? Maybe; maybe not. Should she have talked to my husband and told him things to 'watch' for? YES. Fortunate he took me to the ER.

I was a professor at Vanderbilt for 12 years, during which time Dr. Price was my primary care physician. Dr. Price is beyond good. In my opinion she actually sets *the* standard for a primary care physician. She's knowledgeable, she's very focused and attentive, she makes you feel important, she pursues your health issues relentlessly, and she cares deeply about her patients. She's passionate about what she is doing. Simply the best.

The Blue Cross Blue Shield website indicates that Dr. Price is currently accepting new patients. When I called to make an appointment, I was informed that neither Dr. Price nor any other doctor at Hillsboro Medical Group was accepting new patients at this time.
