ZERO STARS! SHE WAS FORCED TO RETIRE, NO CHOSE TO!
JAN PETRI, WORST ENT OF ALL TIME. SHE HAD HER OWN CLINIC AND CONSIDERED A SPECIALIST?! HOW?! SHE WAS A SPECIALIST, NOT AS AN ENT! SPECIALIST AT LYING, STEALING, QUITTING ON PATIENTS BEFORE FORCED TO RETIRE! NOT THE LIE SHE TOLD, “CHOOSING TO RETIRE”! SHE MILKED AS MONEY AS SHE COULD RATIONALIZE BEFORE RETIRING WHILE NOT ONLY GIVING ZERO EFFORT TO PATIENTS AND SCHEDULED MORE APPOINTMENTS THAN BEFORE SO HER STAFF COULD DO THE SAME WORTHLESS HEARING TEST THAT DID NOTHING. HEARING WASN’T MY MEDICAL ISSUE. SHE LIED, STOLE, AND QUIT ON ME AFTER CAUSING SERIOUS DAMAGE TO MY EARDRUM, AND BEFORE LEAVING TO LIVE WITH HER DAUGHTER IN THAT FILTHY SUNSHINE WITH PEOPLE JUST LIKE HER, NO CLASS, NO INTEGRITY. CLASSLESS AND TRASHY, FLORIDA. I’VE HAD 8 SURGERIES AND A MINIMUM OF 3 MORE, OVER $1 MILLION, AT SHEA CLINIC TO FIX DAMAGE SHE DID. I NEEDED EUSTACHIAN DILATION. SHE REFUSED, UNLESS I TRIED EAR TUBES FIRST, THEFT, ADAMANTLY REFUSED. PETRI’S EXACT WORDS, “CAN’T HURT TO TRY.” NOW, HOLE IN EARDRUM!!

Terrible. Rude, dismissive, and unhelpful. The office staff, the nurses, and the audiologist are all wonderful, but the first thing out of Dr. Petri’s mouth was a snide comment about how high my antidepressant dose was and that it’s probably causing my problems. I told her that I have consulted with several doctors who all agreed on this medication, and that I had been on it for almost 5 years, so it was likely irrelevant to the ear problem I was having. She then said that I must be really messed up to need that high of a dose. She then took about 5 seconds to look in my ears and then told me there was nothing wrong. My pcp referred me to her so there was obviously something that needed to be addressed. I went back to my pcp and was referred to a different ent.

The office staff is very professional, friendly, and kind. However, Dr. Petri is unprofessional and I would not recommend her as a provider. She did an invasive in office procedure without first explaining it. She then diagnosed a condition, but gave no treatment options. The office uses a patient portal, but posts no lab results on it and does not communicate through it in any way. Overall, the 2 stars is for the excellent front desk staff.

I went to Dr Petrie with pain in left ear and hearing lost. Instead of educating me as to the disease affecting my ear and the prognosis, she turned me over to her audiologist for a hearing test and a proposal for hearing aids. I left her office dissatisfied. Since then I have learned what the disease is that is causing my problem and that there is no cure. DR P ETRIE...TAKE THE TIME TO EXPLAIN THINGS TO YOUR PATIENTS.

Dr Petri is so knowledgeable and kind and resourceful to patients. She uses her referral network well. She diagnosed and treated my vertigo in one visit. She worked up a severe headache and ended up referring me to an excellent audiologist. She responds quickly to questions. Highly recommend!
