I have known her Dr Hung for 8 years now and she is always on top of things. I have had a good doctor- patient relationship with her.

A life threatening cancer diagnosis is exceptionally frightening for the patient and their family. You need an oncologist who is comforting, kind and filled with compassion. Dr. Hung displays none of these emotions. She barely made eye contact with us at our meeting and focused only on typing notes. She aggressively and condescendingly quizzed us on our diagnosis that had been received from a different medical facility. Her attitude we felt was that 'she knew best' and that she was skeptical of our other medical practitioners. These doctors are leaders in their oncology fields and have far superior qualifications than Dr. Hung! It was necessary though to make an appointment with her as this was a Dignity protocol. We had hoped to receive infusion therapy close to our home, to relieve the stress of travel. BUT....We would rather drive 16 hours plus a week to our original cancer centers, than have her on our team - we have cancelled future appointments at SNMH.

Dr Hung is very thorough. She welcomes our questions.

Dr Hung has been treating my dad for a rare stage 4 cancer for about a year. I truly feel like we were blessed to have her guiding our journey. She is incredibly smart, knowledgeable and open to discussing options for care. She is caring and this has never not come across to us once. We can’t recommend her more highly! In addition, the nursing staff is also phenomenal.

I was very unhappy with Dr. Hung. She usually sat at the computer and typed. She said very little and I often found out later that I was missing critical info that I felt should have come from her. She says very little at all. Beyond that, she demonstrates no warmth or friendliness. When you are being treated for stage 4 metastasized cancer, that’s just sad and feels very alienating. I’m surprised that her distance from her patients and coldness wasn’t addressed in internships or residencies. I would never recommend her for someone dealing with cancer.
