Good Experience
Dr. Watkins is very knowledgeable and I appreciate his professionalism. He will take as long as you need him to explain things. Some days it take longer waiting in the waiting room but I know that means he is with someone who needs more time with him. I usually am with a Baptist Hospital physician but switched over to Dr. Watkins at Sacred Heart because a friend of mine recommended him highly.

Dr Watkins
Dr Watkins has taken care of me and my husband for about 8 years. We have complete confidence in him and wouldn’t go to anyone else.

Awful experience
My father was under his care. Dr. Watkins didn’t seem to care about my father at all. Dr. Watkins let my dad suffer during his chemotherapy. My dad underwent all of his chemotherapy treatments for colon cancer but one at 74 years of age. Dr. Watkins could’ve stopped his treatments or gave him less when he realized it wasn’t working. Instead, he let my dad suffer by encouraging him to take all of them knowing he was terminal. I would never recommend this man as a doctor.

Dr. Watkins has been my oncologist for over five years. My husband and I met him shortly after moving to Florida, and learning I had cancer. It was a terrifying ordeal, amplified by the awareness that we had left behind 30 years of trust earned by previous medical providers. Fortunately, we were referred to a highly skilled physician. Doctor Watkins was not only skilled but he provided compassionate care. He stated early into my chemo and radiation treatment that he would take good care of me. He has shown over the years that he meant what he said. Today, I am cancer free and feel safe due to his ongoing care. Recently, my husband was diagnosed with skin cancer and sought Dr. Watkins care as he was familiar with the level of care provided by him and his staff, namely his physician's assistant and Monica (who make us feel like family). We highly recommend Dr. Watkins and his staff who provide cutting edge treatment advancements along with compassionate care.

He is more interested in how long he can keep you waiting before you get pissed off than get you in the exam room to take care of your concerns about your health. I would not see him as my doctor.
