Excellent experience
First, the doctors team is top-notch, friendly, smart, efficient. In fact, my appointment started 5 minutes early and Dr. Spitz took his time to learn as much as possible about my condition and then explain his care approach. Great doctor with a great team!

Terrible post op care from Dr. Spitz. I had what was supposed to be a routine surgery. I had complication from the surgery over 14 weeks ago with tremendous pain and Dr. Spitz and his team were almost non- existent with my post op care. The last straw was yesterday when the docstor asked me to change my scheduled in paiteant appointment the day of my appointment that his staff made. When I said I could not reschedule that he wound up canceling it and tried to get me to do Telehealth even thought Dr. Spitz knew I had to be examined. I would not recommend this surgeon.

Excellent surgeon
Dr. Spitz did a colon resection surgery on my husband right before Christmas. He went out of his way to explain things and would call daily once he got home to check on him. He had an infection that developed and went back to hospital ad he got him into a room immediately even though the ER was very backed up. He called late at night to let me know how he was doing and called on Christmas day to check on him and to wish us a Merry Christmas. His surgery turned out very well and we were extremely pleased with the outcome and the way Dr. Spitz treated us with care and respect. I did not think there were surgeons out there with such a personal touch as well as being a great surgeon!

Dr. Spitz has been a very caring concerned surgeon, I had laparoscopic surgery for diverticulitis I was in Monday morning and out Wednesday afternoon. Some initial pain but a fairly quick recovery. Well done Doc.

My appointment was at 11:30 and I was called in at 11:30... This was my first time ever seeing this kind of a specialist, so I was a bit nervous, naturally... Dr. Spitz was pleasant and kind, very patient, he answered all my questions and explained everything to me. The treatment was unpleasant (as expected), but short and must have been VERY professional — 'cause it was successful and fixed the problems I was suffering from!!! I can only say good things about him!

In Dec 2018, Dr. Spitz performed Laparoscopic Subtotal Colectomy, at the age of 63, to address Colonic Inertia. I am now 2 mos post-op, & the results are phenomenal. Dr. Spitz gave me a fresh start at life after many years of debilitating constipation issues. Prior to surgery my diet was very limited, I was dependent on large quantities of daily laxatives, and had lots of discomfort throughout each and every day. Travel was impossible. After surgery, life is much better.

I just had my second pilonidal cystectomy done today by Dr. Spitz and I can't think of one bad thing to say about him as a doctor(aside from directing me with a knife twice, lol), his bedside manner to me and my guests before surgery, the way he educated me about my options this time and called me on my stuff in 2014 for the first one. I needed this surgery done before I could get another one and his team worked with me and got me in quickly and I greatly appreciate it.
