Awful - office never calls back
My dad experienced bad side effects from medication prescribed by Dr Scott. My Dad called and emailed the office but they never returned calls. After 3 weeks he had no choice but to find another doctor.

Office Staff
Have heard great things about Dr Scott but unfortunately did not get the opportunity to meet him. It took almost a month to only find out that they don't take my insurance! Referral for consult sent several times,surgery scheduled pending consult, was postponed due office staff not getting back with me. Calls made by me to the office when answered/returned were only to tell me they didn't have the referral! My insurance shows the office as a partipating physician but per the office they do not take!

Dr. Scott is the best doctor. He actually cares and I would mostly likely be in very bad shape and maybe even dead!!!! This man has saved my life!!!!! And I am so grateful and and thankful!!!!! GOD BLESS DR. SCOTT

My husband had 2 appointments canceled in January with no explanation as to why. He was rescheduled for a March appointment and the automated call the day prior to the appointment said he would be in his Port orange office. So we drove 35 minutes to get to the Port orange office only to find that office was no longer open. I called 5 times trying to get someone to call me back. I left message after message and no one ever returned my call. My husband is deteriating rapidly and we haven't seen the doctor since about 5 months ago.

This doctor is awful. Has way too many patients. I have tried to see him the last several months. Then he reschedules me out another two months. Then I have an emergency and cannot make that rescheduled appointment. So they book me out another 4 weeks. The office then tells me there are 15000 people moving in to Florida each month. I am not sure if they are trying to take them all. Basically I have to find someone else before my condition deteriorates any further.

Dr. Scott was the Neurologist assigned to my Mother-in-law at Halifax Hospital. We received very little communication or compassion from him while we watched her steadily decline for a week. She walked in on her own and left by medical transport to another more well staffed facility.

I have found Dr. Scott's Port Orange staff to be very friendly and cooperative. Dr. Scott is an awesome neurologist! He diagnosed my Parkinson Disease, when other doctors {neurologists} did not pick up on it. He is always extremely courteous, compassionate and informative. He never makes me feel rushed, and answers ALL my questions.

Always terrific, Dr. Scott is very kind and understanding.. I found Dr. Scott after my Miami Neurologist retired and he had been taking care of me for 35 years.. I am so grateful for Dr. James Scott.

I went to Dr. Scott over 2 months ago. We moved to the area and I needed a neurologist so my primary care doctor recommended Dr. Scott. First, every time I have an appointment the waiting room is packed. I can plan on spending over 2 hours just to see the doctor. Second, he did not even read my MRI he ordered me, I know this because he sent me to a physical therapist and this doctor asked me what Dr. Scott said of my brain scan results! There is an issue! Staff is rude and won’t do their job!

Dr. Scott has always treated patients with kindness and respect. He never hurries through an appointment, he spends quality time answering every question you have. A wonderful, highly educated specialist. A very caring DOCTOR.
