Top Shelf Treatment
I am a 70-year-old man, so am in a higher risk group. Dr. Parker performed surgery on me a few weeks back. It was a relatively complicated procedure and required that I undergo anesthesia and stay in the hospital for a couple of extra days. The surgery itself went very well and Dr. Parker stopped in to see me several times in the following days before discharging me. He has a very good bedside manner and was forthcoming with as much information as my wife and I could process. Post surgery has been a breeze with no complications whatsoever. I would highly recommend him to anyone for treatment. He has been great.

Not a fan
Performed hemroidal surgery. Failed to warn me of frequent complications. As I was waking from surgery, he gave me the bum's-rush in his apparent rush to get out of town for the Labor Day weekend.

Grateful to Have Dr. Parker in my Corner
I was referred to Dr. Parker by my GI doc for a hemorrhoid condition which had been troublesome for a while. Dr. Parker gave me a thorough exam, clearly explaining each step before proceeding. He then explained to me in detail, and in understandable language, what he saw and what I had for options. I chose to have the problem removed via hemorrhoidectomy. After reading up on Dr. Parker, meeting him, and being presented with the facts—compassionately and in detail, it was an easy decision to go this more invasive route. Frankly, I liked him, I felt that I could trust him and his judgement, and his office staff reflected his professional yet casual demeanor. The procedure was quickly scheduled and performed. Everything went as was described, including the path to proper healing and recovery. I had my post-op check just yesterday (exactly 4 weeks after the procedure) and was given the all-clear. For me, this is really a game-changer. Thank you Dr. Parker & Staff!

Dr Paker is the BEST!!
Hands down Dr. Parker is the BEST! I came to know Dr. Parker because he successfully operated on my wife 3 years prior to my needing his skilled hands and expertise. He truly cares about his patients and explains things in a way that is easily understood. He is by far one of the most compassionate and caring doctors I have met. He is extremely confident, kind, has a great sense of humor and calmed my fears. Most importantly is a highly skilled and respected surgeon. He was not afraid to tackle my extensive colon surgery. I believe his quick action and decision-making saved my life. He readily jumped in to ensure a couple of incidental findings on my CT scan were followed up on quickly. He is 5 star for sure!! I highly recommend him.

Forever thankful!
Dr. Parker is, in my opinion, a simply amazing surgeon! He recently performed my very complicated colon surgery and I am now recovering very well. Throughout the entire process, he listened to all of my concerns, answered my copious amount of questions, and performed the surgery expertly, based on knowing who I am, what I needed, and what would provide me with the best outcome! I am forever indebted to this incredible surgeon, as well as my entire surgical team at Middlesex Hospital, who gave me the best and most appropriate care possible! I would recommend Dr. Parker without hesitation for his expertise, skill and compassion!

Thanks, Dr. Parker!
To put it quite simply, Dr. Parker saved my life by performing an eight-hour emergency operation. He has a no-nonsense approach, which I very much appreciate, and a wonderfully unique sense of humor. I certainly recommend Dr. Parker to family and friends, should they find themselves in need of a skilled surgeon. Five stars for sure!

I would gladly recommend Dr. Parker. He made sure I had all the information I needed to make a decision and even had me speak with other of his patients which impressed me further. He answered all my questions and took time with me. I never felt rushed which to me was very important. During my hospital stay he visited me every day and again took time with me. He called me when I got home to check on me. I was very satisfied with all aspects of my experience.

When I was researching for a surgeon trained in inguinal hernia repair, I found videos on Dr. Parker’s website which acted as a great introduction to him. I e-mailed him with a question, and he responded promptly. His office staff was very responsive in scheduling the consultation and following surgery. I found Dr. Parker extremely easy to speak with, very down-to-earth and committed to providing a positive patient experience. He explained the procedure and answered all my questions. The surgery went just as well as he promised, with almost no recoup time. I was back to normal almost the next day. When I e-mailed him with a post-surgery question, he actually called me right back (and it was on a Sunday!). I highly recommend Dr. Parker, and consider myself very fortunate to have found him.

Hands down one of the best Doctors that I have ever be treated by. Dr. Parker was kind, funny, down to earth, knowledgeable, easily reachable, and most importantly confident in his craft. I had a hemorrhoid procedure done with Dr. Parker in February 2020. I had battled them for years but was very reluctant about getting surgery for them due to all of the negatives that I had heard. By no means was the procedure fun, however, I played it up way more than it was in my head. The first few days are uncomfortable, but nothing that you can’t get through. The fear of going to the bathroom for the first time post-op is much scarier than it actually was. I was back to work at a strenuous job in 5 days and back to the gym in 10 days. I can now go to the bathroom and feel like a normal person for the first time in 10 years. I truly can’t say enough good things about Dr. Parker and his surgical staff. They made an embarrassing procedure for me very comfortable and normal.

Dr Parker performed emergency surgery on me. He went in without being able to know exactly what was wrong and had to rely on his judgement to make the right decision that saved my life. I was later told several times how lucky I was that he was on call when I needed him. I'm not sure, but I think I would have chosen him if I had had a choice because although he hasn't been in practice long, he has done some prestigious fellowships and has had many hours of colorectal surgery experience despite his age. I believe I really did get lucky that night.

I had a combination of problems related to diverticulitis, which led to to checking into Middlesex Hospital. I wound up working with Dr. Parker for the short term situation and chose to keep working with him with follow up colonoscopy and a sigmoid colectomy (removal of the s-shaped chunk of colon.) Dr. Parker was at all times friendly and professional, kept me informed about what was needed and why, and always made sure to speak in understandable terms. There were several points where unrelated issues complicated things, and he personally called me a few times to make sure that I understood what was going on and that I knew that he was taking care of things. He gave me several options as to how I best wanted to handle treatment and procedures. I’m rather suspect of a lot of doctors, and have at times felt more like a problem to be solved or a source of income, but throughout this all, I felt a compassionate and competent connection with Dr. Parker.

My husband has had extreme pain "down below" for a very long time. His PCP gave him creams and medication with no results. Then he referred my husband to Dr. Parker. While it took a while to get his initial visit being a "new" patient, once Dr. Parker saw my husband, it was all systems go! He did immediate surgery and within 2 weeks of healing, he is a new man!! Dr. Parker literally changed our lives. His skilled surgeon skills, compassion, humor and listening capabilities make him a Doctor like no other. Worth the wait in gold! My husband says the Doctor has a halo and that we will name our next dog Parker. Haha...He literally changed our lives! Highly recommend is not even enough. You are lucky if Dr. Parker is your surgeon
