Dr. James Park, DO

I came to him with two years of leg pain, intermittent sensory irregularities (numbness, tingling, burning, vibration). I have fallen 8 times in the past few years. He said my reflexes were hyperacute. He did one MRI which showed normal aging. He had no desire to look further and told me he didn’t know what was causing my symptoms and to return in 6-months or a year, “whichever I prefer.” I told the front desk assistant I won’t be returning

My daughter went to him for migraines. He kept referring to them as headaches which anyone who gets migraines knows it is not a headache. Then he put her on medications but would not fill out the pre-authorizations for the insurance company after saying they would. Which took weeks to get a truthful answer. We had the insurance company call to ask about the pre-auth and the rude office girl hung up on him saying she didn't have time to discuss it. She then told my daughter she should get another neurologist! Patient care at this office is horrible. It took us 3 weeks to try and get the medications and then they were finally truthful and said they don't fill out the forms because they are too complicated leaving my daughter without her medications!!! Talk about patient care - this whole doctor and office was very sad. I have never seen such disregard for patients. A grievance has been issued against them.

I would highly recommend Dr James D Park to anyone needing a Neuro. He reviewed my records, explained clearly what had happened and how I should follow up. He listened to and answered my questions/concerns. Very warm and reassuring. Great asset to HOAG. NOTE, this Dr Park is not the Dr Park from Fountain Valley.

I met Dr. Park when I was admitted to the ER with my 1st seizure as a 39 year old female. Evidently adult epilepsy is common, but I didn't know that. He kept me calm, as I was very scared, and worked on getting the right combination of meds so that my seizures can stay under control. It has been almost 2 weeks now & I am seizure free.

Dangerous and irresponsible doctor. Went in today for my wife's headaches. In the appointment we said her headaches get worse around period and are lessened after period and asked for an MRI. We mentioned that ibuprofen helps but just wanted to make sure everything was ok. He asked my wife if she had any allergies and she said to certain chemicals she does but doesn't know all of them. He recommended she get a MRI and a spinal tap to see why she had headaches....A spinal tap?? We refused after he argued with us for 5 minutes because we didn't think a spinal tap for mild headaches was reasonable. We later found out that he ordered an MRI with contrast without speaking to us about it. My wife's mother had a serious reaction to contrast and almost died from it. If we had not looked at the paperwork my wife may have had the same reaction and died. I believe all other reviews that are positive are fake.

Dr. James D Park is an excellent physician. My daughter has epilepsy and during our first meeting with him, I was impressed. He is very thorough. He asked a lot of questions and really sought to understand my daughters needs. He has excellent bedside manner and is very knowledgeable about epilepsy. We had a good experience.

Dr. Park is a great Neurologist was able to answer all my questions. I would highly recommend this doctor for any Neurology needs.

Dr. Park is an amazing doctor. We have been to other neurologists and he has been the best so far. He spends a great amount of time explaining what is going on and is very personable. You can really tell how much knowledge he has in his specialty. He makes us feel very comfortable and is easy to work with. This is not the same doctor that people are referencing to in Fountain Valley.

Horrible Dr! He does not know how to treat patients with brain concussions! As a result my concussion got much worse and has resulted in me having to have speech, vestibular, and physical therapies for 5 months. I strongly do not recommend this Dr.!

I highly recommend Dr. Park! He is knowledgeable, thorough and caring.

I can’t say enough good things about my experience at this office today. Where to start... Dr. Park saw me right away after an emergency seizure. He spent over an hour explaining my CT scan and everything I needed to ensure I reduce my seizure risk. He made me feel better about a scary situation and I can follow up with him at any time in the future.

Dr. Park listened very carefully with my issues and explained every single symptoms one by one...never had that experience. Typically, one woud diagnose you and not even go over what you said. His explanation made clear sense of what was happening to me. Made me feel very comfortable and at ease. Also, he took his time...most doctors' visits made me feel rushed and systematic combined with a long wait time. Not this one. Highly recommend him...I know I'm not going to look for another.

Dr. James D Park is an excellent physician who really cares about his patient. He is one of the most caring and understanding dr's I've been seen. He took the time to actually sit and listen to my problem not try to just prescribe me medicines and get me in and out. His staff is wonderful! I highly recommend Dr. Park.

First and foremost, Dr. James D. Park, MO is exceptional. I took both my mother and father to him. I was astounded at how attentive and knowledgeable he is. One of my loved ones has had seizures and Dr. Park specializes in seizures / epilepsy. But, most importantly, Dr. Park has what many other doctors lack: patience, the willingness to ask probing questions, and an amazing “bedside manner.” I’ve never met a more well-rounded doctor; I highly recommend Dr. Park as a neurologist! A+++
