Dr. James O'Mara, MD

Absolutely THE best Doctor, cannot say enough good things about him! BUT the front desk person...certainly does NOT measure up. Not the friendliest or most empathetic, especially for the type of medicine that is practiced. It is difficult, to receive answers from the desk person and takes a VERY long time for them to get things done. (contacting insurance, calling you back etc) I do not think Dr. O'Mara knows this goes on? The Nurses that he's had/have ARE very good.

There is no one who should say a negative thing about Joann! She is amazing and makes that office tick! Dr O’Mara is beyond amazing!

Dr. O'Mara is a great Doctor. I've been his patient for 23 years, and I always felt at ease with him. As for the new staff, they don't have any bedside manners. I was very glad that Joann has returned they can learn from her. She is wonderful. She use to be the only staff back in the day. I read the reviews which were posted and I feel compelled to respond. I have been a patient of Dr. O'Mara for 25 years. I also found him trustworthy and caring. However, I am not sure he ever knows patients call to talk to HIM. It is impossible to get to speak to him. I know he is very busy, but sometimes someone needs to speak directly to the treating doctor. That does not diminish the value of the staff. It is impossible to get to speak to him. His staff is unresponsive and rude. No matter what the problem is, Joanne or the other staff (which may be his wife) do not think enough of the patients to call back, until you call at least 3-4 times. I am truly disappointed as to what has transpired in this office!!

I was one of his first patient’s when he opened his practice 28 years ago. He was the greatest Doctor. However, once Joann came to work for him it became impossible to talk or see him when necessary. She thought she is the boss. I can see by the many reviews on several sites I am not alone in my opinion. Now that he has different people in the office it sounds like they are as rude as Joanne was. It’s a shame because Jim is a wonderful and caring doctor.

Dr. O'Mara is a wonderful Dr, he's patient, kind, and really takes his time with you, which is really rare to find in a Dr. Unfortunately, the office staff is awful!!! Unfriendly, no personality, rude and condescending! Not a good experience when trying to schedule an appointment, you can leave several messages and it's still very difficult to have someone get back to you...... I would definitely recommend Dr. O'Mara to others, but certainly not based on his office staff.

You'll never meet another doctor that cares about his patients as much as Dr. O'Mara.

Changing gynecologists is such a drag, but Dr. O'Mara and staff made it easy and painless. Friendly, informal but professional atmosphere.

I have never left a review for a doctors office but I felt so inclined this time, because I have never had such an awful experience with a doctors office. Long story short, extremely unreliable and extremely unresponsive. Doctor will not call you back no matter how many times you call. Staff are rude, not knowledgeable and unprofessional. Go somewhere else, literally anywhere else.

Dr. O'Mara is great. He spends a lot of time with patients and seems really caring. However, his office staff is the absolute worst service I've ever received. They are uninformed, arrogant, and seemingly have no time for their patients. I have been hung up on, condescended to, and argued with the staff all to get the results of bloodwork tests and to have my medical records released to a new doctor. I highly recommend Dr. O'Mara himself, but his office staff has forced me to find a new Doctor.
