Dr. O’Mailia saved my life! After over a decade of misdiagnoses, several invasive procedures, 3 laparoscopic surgeries, over 30 hospital admissions, a few organs removed and more radiology, lab work, and tests then I can count before the age of 37; I’m finally able to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Without Dr O’s determination, experience, intelligence, exceptional bedside manner and compassion I would not be alive today. You are not simply a number, but you’re greeted like an old friend when you are in his office. If you are able to be a patient of his, you are truly lucky and blessed. Not only gastroenterologists but everyone desiring a medical license every should be required to take a course taught by Dr O on how to be a good doctor.

I have been a patient of 28 years and he has been a great doctor for myself and all family members. I trust his decisions and he has gone beyond the norm to make sure I am being provided the best care as he does all his patients. I trust him as does all my family and friends that are his patients.

Anyone who does not not appreciate the time given them by Dr. O has wasted an opportunity. I’ve been a patient for many years and, it seems that, no matter how much time (years) passes between visits, Dr. O’Mailia has my accurate and detailed history at the tip of his tongue. I’m saying that, not only is Dr. O a rare and true genius, but that he is one of the most compassionate doctors I have: his memory is rock solid. Finding this doctor is a gift to be cherished. I have been seeing Dr. O for about 15 years. I have several medical issues including UC. Dr. O has gone out of his way, above and beyond to take care of me and give me the best treatment possible. He actively talks to my other health care providers and keeps them updated about my condition. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The strangest 40 minutes I have ever spent with a doctor. He gave this monologue where as he repeated several things that did not have anything to do with my issue. He asked me two questions, only. 1) Why was I there? 2)Where did I originally come from? My appointment was 3:30. Didn't get to leave until 6PM. Waste of time.

As a first time patient I found the staff to be very pleasant. I will say that I sat in the waiting room for about 20-25 min but I feel it was well worth the wait. This doctor has a great bedside manner. He took the time to listen and thoroughly explain his treatment plan for my problem. The doctor did not appear in the least bit hurried and spoke with me for quite some time.
