I love Dr McNeely. He is compassionate, knowledgable, and has great bedside manner. Highly recommend him. The front office staff is fine, but Dr McNeely and Nurse Barbara are the reasons to go here.

Worst care one could hope for
I stopped seeing Dr. McNeely about a year ago, but let me say that what he prescribed was not what I needed. I was given a blood pressure medication for high blood pressure even though my blood pressure is average, which caused me to black out and have no memory or idea of what happened. I was put on a very harsh SSRI and the dosage was changed so much so often that every negative side effect one could have, I did have. Nearly every prescription I was given interacted negatively with each other but I was always told there was nothing to worry about. On occasion, some of my concerns about medications or symptoms were laughed at. I absolutely would recommend that whoever is thinking about seeing him to look for another GP.

Barb
Very thorough Doctor, doesn't push medication on me like some others. Is funny, down to earth and caring.

Horrendous bedside manner- doesn't care
I saw Dr. McNeely in 2020 and had a positive experience when I first moved. My recent visit in 2022 was horrible. My appointment was at 8:30 and I signed in by 8:36 after waiting in line, and walking back to my car to get my mask. He came in and reprimanded me that I was late and his next patient was already here. Are his appointments 10 minutes long? At this point, I knew he was going to rush. I spent longer driving there than my appointment took. He had the materials for a full checkup on the counter, but skipped over most of it. He checked four things and sent me on my way. I understand being on time and I apologized. I would have been fine rescheduling had the front desk told me he considered this late before letting me sign in. I drove from over 30 minutes away and was spoken to with horrible bedside manner, and didn't even receive the full checkup exam. He told me I was fine, get a booster, and wear a mask. Truly the lowest care for a patient. Will be finding a new GP.

Rude and overcharges
I was dropped from Dr. McNeely's care after asking to verify whether or not my visit was covered by insurance. They used the wrong coding on my labs and they charged me $350 to process the labs, which are covered by my insurance. The next visit when I asked them to confirm that my insurance would cover it this time, they refused to check. I said I would not pay for the labs that are covered in my insurance plan, so they sent me a letter dropping me from their care and told me to find another doctor.

Thorough MD
Dr. McNeely is always pleasant. We ran basic lab work at one appointment and he wanted to check a few more things while I was there. I've never had such a thorough general practitioner that took the time to explain things to me.

Horrible Doc. Was on vacation and ran out of generic BP and Cholesterol medicine and since I was out of refills he said he wouldn't issue a prescription for me to get on the road. He said go to an Urgent Care to get a new prescription. Due to this and other issues of uncaring activity don't choose this Doc

He has a personality that you would enjoy meeting outside of work. Personable, reassuring, competent and respectful. All the things he told me to do and take resulted in my having the first good night's sleep in a week.
