Dr McKay is very thorough and caring. He is concerned about my well being and how treatment is affecting the disease. Listening to my concerns and addressing each one. Also listened to my daughter’s conversation and addressed each one. I truly hate that he is retiring in December and will miss him!

Patient for 2yrs.Excellent rheumatologist, however, clinic has too many rules/policies/financial demands. Can't afford visits anymore and too hard to get an immediate appointment.

I have seen Dr. McKay cents I was 10 years old I am now 37 and have never came across any Dr. That compares to his commitment and treatment. His staff were always the best for a long time his office was a second home.

I had a previous experience with Dr McKay on his birthday several years ago where I was shuffled off to another Dr at the last moment. She was not happy & as a result I refused to go back. Little did I know they had positive test results for me & didn't bother to share them with my PCP! Fast forward to now...I had been seeing a terrific Dr, after some convincing, at the same office. She started me on the right meds & I was doing better than I had in years. She unfortunately left, so now I'm back to Dr McKay. He immediately cuts my meds in half, I go into a flare, his nurse Amy & a male, are both rude one the phone, he refuses to reincrease my dose, & then they call & tell me I've missed an appt that I haven't even scheduled. This doesn't even begin to describe his poor bedside manner, which, as a nurse, I can overlook. He's distant, acts like he doesn't care about what you say in the slightest, arrogant, & self absorbed.

I transferred from another Dr., and was very pleased. Dr. McKay listened to concerns changed my meds, i've gotten more sleep than in the last 10 years. when I contacted him thru patient portal the response was very prompt. He has listened to my past experiences with auto immune issues and acting on my symptoms

He didn’t listen to anything I said and since I was paying cash he didn’t seem to care either. He dropped me after the first appointment saying I only had mild pain and sleep disturbances. After all the tests and trouble I’ve gone through it’s obviously more than that.

There is a raccoon in a dog crate in this office. Yes -- I said a raccoon. Evidently the raccoon was rescued by a PA and is now being brought to the Oklahoma Center for Arthritis during the day.

I went to Dr McKay for over 12 years before I left Tulsa. I found him to be professional . He always answered all of my questions and explained things thoroughly. For awhile, until he expanded his practice, he was always swamped. His nurses always returned my phone calls, answered my questions and were always willing to help. I would recommend him highly. He helped me so much.

He is a egotistical jerk that doesn't listen, care, and thinks he knows it all. Has no personality, acts like he's in another world when your talking to him. And his assistant Amy is no better. I can't get my scripts, or even a simple phone call back from a nurse. This is not my first time with a Rheumatologist I have seen a few over the last 25 years. I recently moved to the Tulsa area and I had to find the worst possible dr in Tulsa. Please keep looking, don't waste your time.
