Life Changing!
Dr. Maskill took the time to listen, study my symptoms and had a plan to end the intense pain in my arthritic foot. It has been only two weeks since I had my foot surgery and I cannot believe that I have no pain in my foot! My life is changing for the better! He just has to do my other foot after I heal from my first foot surgery. I would also like to shout out to his amazing staff!!! I couldn't be any happier!

Changed my life
After 6+ months of PT my therapist let me know my foot was, for better words, “messed up”. Went back to my original surgeon who told me there was nothing else to do. Sought a different opinion from her urging. Dr. Maskill looked at my foot, watched me walk, ordered an X-ray and essentially, quickly, said he could fix it. Six procedures later my big toe touches the ground, my pain is far less severe, I have less scar tissue in my foot, and I have tendons on the correct side of my ankle! Five more months of PT after the surgery and my life is completely different. I walk normally and have very minimal pain. I’m only 10 months post op and hope for more improvement. 100% recommend!

Highly recommend!
I had bunions that were progressively becoming worse and more painful. After doing a lot of research on the area's podiatrists, I made a consultation appointment with Dr. James Maskill. I'm so happy I did. Aside fron being very knowledgeable, he is also kind, caring, and patient. He explained everything to me thoroughly and made it a point to answer all of my questions. He explained my options and I decided to move forward with surgery. I had a couple of appointments between my consultation and surgery and he gave me realistic expectations as far as what to expect regarding pain, recovery time, and outcomes. I felt very comfortable on the day of surgery because Dr. Maskill did such a great job preparing me ahead of time. I couldn't be more pleased with my results. I have no more foot pain!!! I'm looking forward to getting the bunion corrected on my other foot in the near future. If you are looking for a podiatrist, I highly recommend seeing Dr. Maskill.

Improved my life
Dr Maskell did my ankle surgery correcting a break overlooked by a previous surgeon. He is kind and encouraging. He explained every thing clearly, along with his expectations for me. I was horrified to see the breaks in my ankle joint, but Dr Maskell assured me he would fix it. I had every conference in him. He explained what my recovery would be like and what my part would be in it. He is wonderful and I am grateful for him.

I had a ruptured tendon in my overpronated foot that required 4 different surgery sites on my foot and 1 on my leg. For 2 months I was non-weight baring on this foot post-op, a painful challenge in itself. Now, as daunting as this may seem, it was all part of the plan to fix this many years of a very troubling foot. Dr Maskill was pleasant, assured me of his ability, the how's, the why's, of short range and long range plans and options of surgery. Care has been easily given, questions directly answered, and enough time given to address concerns. I'm 3+ months post-op and although it's not been easy, there has been no surprises either. All in all I'm very pleased with the result. Also, waiting room time was minimal, staff efficient and pleasant.

Dr. Maskill is fantastic. I saw him after suffering with lifelong overpronation and flat feet that led to metatarsitis and plantar fasciitis. I had been stretching at home for several months to no avail. Dr. Maskill requested x-rays of my feet and did a comprehensive evaluation. He explained that many of his patients had experienced relief with a gastrocnemius recession (calf lengthening). I was able to get on the surgery schedule two weeks later. My outpatient surgical experience with Dr. Maskill was very positive and I was home two hours after he closed up my leg. Today, I had the staples removed and transitioned back into a regular shoe with no pain. I have recommended Dr. Maskill to a few friends who have suffered from foot and ankle pain and I would highly recommend him to anyone.

I just had surgery on my Fibula done by Dr. James Maskill. His knowledge, explanation of what would be done and his positive attitude were a real treat. Too many Drs. talk way over my head but Dr. Maskill made sure I fully understood what was to happen, and explained everything to my husband in terms he could understand afterwards. Everyone, his whole staff, was the same way. I would highly recommend him. Greatest bed side manner of any Dr. I have seen. Extremely knowledgeable kind and caring.

I took my 11 year old son to Dr. Maskill for a second opinion about the implants he had in his feet since he was 4 years old. Both Dr. Maskill and his staff were very caring and friendly from the moment we first walked in, throughout his hardware removal procedure and his post-op care. Both Dr. Maskill and his staff took the time to talk to both me and my husband as well as my son. They all made me and my family feel comfortable, answered every question that ANY of us had. MY son is implant free and more importantly PAIN FREE. I would highly recommend Dr. Maskill!!

Dr. Maskill and staff were pivotal in solving my foot problems in a methodical way. Over a series of several months, PT and shoe inserts were tried not really addressing the issues. After working so hard at losing 90#s and walking 5 miles a day, I was concerned when surgery was suggested; falling backwards into weight gain, time to recover, worried about Covid 19, and overall surgery results at my age. Now looking back to my surgery in August 2020 I can say that I am completely satisfied. Through encouraging support, experiencing temporary pain and tears, this group of healthcare workers always treated me with pure patience and compassion. I recommend Dr. Maskill as he was completely honest about the risks, pain and level of recovery efforts for my condition. May God bless them all! ??

My experience with Dr. Maskill was extremely positive. I had severe pain with my right foot due to a bunion and bone spur that was interfering with my quality of life. Dr. Maskill took the time with me to explain what it would entail to make the repair and ultimately eliminate my pain. It was a long process with a fabulous outcome. His staff that I dealt with, Jennifer, April, Sallie and Jonathan were very professional and kind, a great team. Our community is so fortunate to have Dr. Maskill, a bone, joint and ankle specialist. I am very grateful for his help. I definitely would recommend Dr. Maskill.

I have been seeing Dr. Maskill for several years for my rotting infected toes. He had done two prior amputations and insisted I needed the entire front of my foot amputated. I was very reluctant to having the procedure but finally agreed and he was right. Now I now longer need to dress my toes every day. I highly recommend doing what he suggests.

I needed a major ankle surgery to repair numerous ligaments and tendons. Dr. Maskill thoroughly explained my options. For me it was surgery. He has extensive knowledge that made me feel safe in his hands. The procedure went perfectly. Follow up care was also fantastic. I have had more surgeons than I care to count, but Dr. Maskill is at the top. Highly recommend.
