Don’t go to him!!!
He was very dismissive. I’ve been sick for over a week, and he just barely listened to my symptoms, acted like a robot and said I was fine. When I asked any questions he barely explained and responded with a rude answer. Don’t go to him!

DR. Shard of glass
Introduced himself sharply and abruptly. Was not very considerate at all. Scolded me about my primary which i didn't see because I needed a chest xray. Scolded me again and told me if this isn't better in two days go to my primary or hospital, 'this is NOT an ER' Didn't explain any solution when asked he started each answer sharply with 'ma'am' but really didn't answer. I felt like I was totally bothering him. Rudest physician I have ever encountered in my 63 years. Please get him OUT of practice read all the reviews for yourself!!!

Cancer patient with possible pneumonia symptoms – Jan 25, 2024

He was rude, dismissive, very poor bedside manner, misdiagnosed me because he was not listening and rushing through my visit. Had to seek medical attention next day for proper diagnosis. Will never see this doctor again. He should not have a job at the patient first. Hope no one else has to experience this inappropriate treatment.

Rude and disrespectful
This, “Dr Lacey” is incredibly rude and disrespectful. If anyone goes into PatientFirst, please avoid this Doctor. He has no bedside manner, is not though, doesn’t look at charts, is arrogant and makes you feel as if you are putting him out. Please leave your practice if you are burnt out, Dr Lacey!

Pathetic Came in to patient first with child who has COVID symptoms. Very quick in and out. Horrible bedside manner. At least pretend you are interested. Even the child thought he was horrible

These 1 star reviews are completely accurate. When discussing my issues, he stated that my PCP would be better to diagnose them and made me feel bad about not currently having one (obviously would not be going to urgent care or seeing out a telehealth doctor if that were the case). When he prescribed me a medication and I told him that this particular brand does not work well for me, I was quickly dismissed. He gave me no time to ask questions and I could barely understand what he was saying as he spoke so quickly. For 25 years of being in practice, I'd expect his bedside manner to be a little better. I don't expect my condition to improve and foresee myself back at urgent care in the upcoming days.

Avoid! – Jul 26, 2021
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Lacey?
"Hi I'm Dr. Lacey." If you have come in contact with this doctor you read that in his weird monotone voice. Very dismissive doctor. My husband went with a terrible cough. Dr. Lacey looked at him and in 2 minutes dismissed him with an upper respiratory infection. I am no doctor but I knew pneumonia when I see it. I immediately took him back and demanded he see another physician. That physician was extraordinarily caring. Thank you Dr. Mitchell for filling in the blanks when Dr. Lacey failed. Test and an xray showed my husband did indeed have pneumonia. Antibiotics, steroids, cough syrup and an inhaler he was good to go. Patient First has some wonderful doctors but from then on out we always ask not to see Dr. Lacey.

He tried to make me feel guilty about not having a PCP which was totally unnecessary and unrelated to my visit. I'm in my 20s. Many people my age don't have PCP's. It's not something that I would expect a doctor to try to use for shaming me. He seemed to enjoy trying to make me feel bad through the whole visit. That was the vibe I got. Sadistic and rude. One of the worst doctor's visits I have ever had. I hope Patient First will take complaints against him seriously and find a doctor with better bedside manner.

Not exactly the manner I would expect in a Patient First setting. I have always spoke highly of the quality of services I received at Patient First in the past but I noticed upon introduction that this visit would be different. His entire approach is cold and distant. I was in and out in roughly 10 minutes. He seemed rushed and presented as a provider who approached the job as if he worked on a assembly line. Maybe some patients preferred that method . I do not. At least now i will have to highlight a preference if I return for future visits.

I agree with the negative reviews. Dr. Lacey has horrible bedside manner. Speaks in a monotone almost robot like voice. Shows little concern for you input or your concerns. I am very disappointed that Patient First would employ such a physician.

Strangest man. Horrible bedside manner. Many complaints and letters have been filed against him. He should not be practicing. Faked a weird voice in the room with me, which I later heard his real monotone voice when he spoke to a nurse outside the room. He was being completely serious while speaking in the weird voice

Thought he was rude, and quick to making judgments about the circumstances of why we went to Patient First. Did not focus on the patient, and continually had a 'smirk' on this face. Would not recommend this doctor at all.

.I have been a RN for 30 yrs. I have never been treated so rudely and with such disdain. I had a f/up with him and another visit at Patient First Bel Air. I came there ONLY because I had to. He was even rude to the nurse assisting him. I will check schedule and call first. Please do NOT see this physician. He made me feel like he was doing me a favor by even speaking to me! I'm an educated professional and this is totally unacceptable! Patient First Bel Air, this is not good for you!
