Dr. James Krieg, MD

Dr. Krieg has been my doctor all of my life. He does not follow up on my concerns or listen to them thoroughly. When I asked to get screened for ADD, he acted like being medicated for it was a burden even though I was struggling. He wouldn’t test me so I went behind his back to get the care I needed. He put me on high doses of an SSRI medication as a minor due to depression and mania. He just kept increasing the medications when I told him I was suicidal. In that time frame I quietly attempted suicide 4 times. Another provider discovered I was having a bad reaction to the medication and I was able to come off SSRIs completely months later. He sent me to many different specialists to figure out an issue that I had but another practitioner at the clinic guessed on the first try. I think he was great back in the day, but it’s time to retire. This is also just the surface, I’ve had worse experiences. He’s very personable and friendly with patients, but not a good doctor anymore.

Dr. Krieg has been our primary family physician for over the past 40 years. He has provided excellent care for our entire family, always straightforward and professional. We have always trusted his medical decisions in regards to our health and have always appreciated his caring nature. He has went beyond the call of duty on many occasions and for that we are truly grateful. We are blessed to have someone like Dr. Krieg to serve our community.

I've been seeing Dr. Krieg since he came to Chester. He's helped me through numerous heath issues. I always trust his opinion and advice. He listens & cares.

Dr. Krieg has to be the best doctor I have ever been to. He takes time to listen to what you have going on and always has a logical attitude and yet is aggressive with your well being. I feel I can always recommend him to anyone and Memorial Hospital !

I guess he is a decent doctor if you have a cold as he can tell you to drink plenty of fluids. But he does not listen to patients concerns or problems. Is downright rude at times. Does not remember why he asked you to come in for a follow up. Has an era of arrogance about him that is uncalled for in the healthcare field. I have heard him joking with co workers about a patients problems and I was shocked.
