Dr Kane is handsdown the best surgeon I’ve ever had. He explained everything during my surgery and made me feel so comfortable. I would recommend him to anyone he is so smart and knows exactly what he’s doing. the procedure was so pain-free and I would go to him next time forsure!!!

I HAD LAP BAND SURGERY MANY YEARS AGO. I WENT FROM 425 LBS.-145 LBS. AFTER MANY YRS MY ESOPHAGUS WAS ACTING AS MY STOMACH AND HAD BAD ACID REFLUX NP TO ME BUT DR.KANE TOOK THE FULID OUT OF MY BAND TO HELP MY ESOPHAGUS HEAL(3 MONTHS) IT HEALED. HE THEN SUGESTED THE SLEEVE I HAD PUT MYSELF IN HIS HANDS THAT DIDN'T WORK HE THEN DID THE DUODOAL SWITCH NO LUCK THRU ALL THIS I DOUBLED MY WEIGHT !I WONDER WHY HE TOOK THE BAND OUT WHEN HE COULD HAVE JUST PUT 1/2 THE FLUID BACK ? DURING THE 2ND LAST SURGERY HE TOOK OUT MY MESH AND GALLBLADDER NEITHER OF WHICH I HAD A PROBLEM WITH. 3 MONTHS LATER A HAD EXTERIOR BLEEDING AND PUS COMING THRU IN 1 SPOT AND BLOOD WIHTCH LED TO EXPLORITY SURGERY. I WAS AGAIN OPENED AND IT TOOK 11 MONTHS TO HEAL GOING TO WOUND DR AND HOME HEALTH CARE 11 MONTHS.I NOW HAVE A DEEP CREASE A FOOT LONG AND A HOLE THAT LOOKS LIKE A NAVEL. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED TO SAY THE LEAST MY LAP-BAND SHOULD NEVER BEEN REMOVED AND IT'S WHAT I RECOMEND HAVING DONE. 325LBS NOW !!

I had a gastric sleeve, cholecystectomy and hiatal hernia repair by Dr. James Kane. I have to tell you Dr. Kane is AMAZING. He was patient and answered all my questions. The surgery went very well. I called office very anxious to get in due to an extended stomach. Dr Kane performed surgery on me 4 yrs ago w a perforated colon. I was given an appointment same day. Knowing how worried I was they got me in ASAP. Dr Kane diagnosed me w a hernia. He eased my mind answered all my questions, and surgery has been scheduled. Every step from calling for appt. to scheduling the surgery w Mona, has been exceptional. I have referred and will continue to refer anyone in need to this wonderful practice.

Dr Kane is excellent he spent the time with me I needed and answered all my questions. Dr Kanye also did an outstanding job on skin removal on my arms ams stomach. I can’t wait to get my legs done. I have all the faith in the world they will turn out as awesome as my arms did. Thank you so much Dr Kane. My weight loss surgery went off without a hitch and as you can probably guess I reached my goal and went on to have excess skin removed. He did it all!

I have my surgery a month ago, Dr Kane did a wonderful job!, I feel and looking great!. I was in the best hands!

My procedure was switched without me or my PCP being informed. Physicians assistants could/would not answer questions. I received conflicting information from one person to the next. Many of my calls were not returned. Rather than reassuring me when voicing questions I had about his concerns with my liver he berated me over the phone.

I have been a patient of Dr. Kane for over 10 years. He has performed multiple procedures on me throughout the years and I have always had the ultimate confidence in him. However, recently it feels as though he has become too busy to actually treat his patients. At my most recent appointment I felt as though he was annoyed with the fact that I was still in pain post-op and basically accused me of drug seeking. Unfortunately I will be looking for a new doctor.

I seen Dr. Kane for revision surgery I had 20yrs ago. Dr. Kane assured me that he was going to help me. When I had my first surgery I didn't have to go through such a thorough program but Dr. Kane's program started the same day with testing. I received a call from Dr. Kane not a nurse or a receptionist to tell me what the next step was. He is a great Dr. as well as his staff. There is no wait in the office and answered all questions I had. I will update my post after surgery in June.

While Dr. Kane was very nice, the incompetence of the office staff forced me to switch surgeons. Never worked with a more keystone cop medical office in my life.

Dr. Kane is great, but there is such a rude and incompetent front desk staff and the rudest billing supervisor I have ever met. This office has really declined in customer service. So glad I don't have to visit there anymore. Watch them - they bill wrong, mess up insurance billing and forget to collect co-pays and then penalize the patient for their incompetence.
