I just completed a knee surgery recently (had many falls) and this time it was a meniscal tear, Dr. Grimes also repaired a plica band impingement while in there. He is such a great surgeon, he has done both my right and left shoulder surgeries, my husband's high tibial osteotomy, (a complete knee reconstruction) and quite frankly he is such a perfectionest I wouldn't want anyone else. He has our complete trust and we are great examples of his skills, no pain just enjoying life!

I had a single portal arthroscopy and was very pleased with the results and the speed of my recovery. I hardly needed any recovery time. I was up and walking the same day.

My surgical bilateral carpal tunnel release went great from first call to the office to last visit with Dr. Grimes. The office staff are personable and professional. As a physician myself, I wanted the least invasive surgery performed by a doctor with a great deal of expereince. Dr. Grimes excels in both. My surgery went well and my recovery even better.
I wil refer my own patients and family to Dr. Grimes. What else can I say?

Highly disappointed with this Dr & office. My sister was referred to him to perform surgery on her hip. 1st visit he said he couldn't do it because she was at risk due to her strokes. Her last one was 7 years ago. After her referring Dr sent her back, he then said it was because of her weight. He said her BMI needed to be under a certain # to do the surgery. She achieved that goal & then his office staff was rude and gave her the run around. He unprofessional and not honest!

Dr. Grimes performed partial knee replacement surgery on my right knee in November 2017. By February I was out of physical therapy and have been delighted with my progress, no more pain! He is kind and explains things thoroughly. Will soon be having left knee partial replacement and of course Dr. Grimes will be performing that surgery also!

I found Dr Grimes to be efficient, kind and knowledgeable, I would gladly refer him to family and friends. Shoulder impingement surgery was scheduled and completed in a timely manner. Less than one month post surgery I have been released from physical therapy and am at approximately
85 - 90% of normal range of motion. I couldn't be happier with the outcome!

I received my second anterior total hip replacement January 2018. Both were done by Dr. Grimes. I am excited that I was able to walk around my house, unaided, 4 days after surgery. Now 1 month after surgery, I am walking outside and going to the store with my wife. Dr. Grimes exceed my best expectations. He is the only doctor doing anterior hip replacements in Bakersfield.

Dr. Grimes recently did my surgery for a torn meniscus. I interviewed several other specialists before I made my decision to choose Dr. Grimes. He was, by far, the most caring doctor. He spent a lot of time with me, asking questions and really listening to my answers. He was careful to explain everything to me, using digital images of my own knee to make sure I understood the injury as well as the treatment. Dr. Grimes' entire staff is efficient and caring. I had an outstanding result!

We have been to Dr. Grimes several times over the past several decades for myself, my wife and one of our children. I keep coming back. I have appreciated the care, the results and the questions answered. He has always been very informative both before and after surgeries. Yes, if more issues pop up, I will certainly return to him. Wait time has varied from 5 minutes to other times 45 minutes. I will still consider him top of my list whenever I need attention in the areas of my bones or joints.

The staff was friendly and helpful. Dr. Crimes took his time to explain everything to me. The surgery was great. I only had one incision on my knee and I walked out. I went to physical therapy and within 4 week visit after the surgery I was walking great and used no pain meds. If you need knee surgery go see Dr. Crimes.
