Dr. Gigantelli's explanations of what was going to happen - a surgical removal of a growth on my eyelid for biopsy - and explanation by phone re my options after the biopsy determined that a basal cell carcinoma was present, were detailed and excellent.

The doctor explained all my options to me and answered as many questions as I could think of, and I was sent home with more information. I will be coming back again to speak with him and for him to give me more information and answer more on my questions.

Dr James Gigantelli is the most knowledgeable Graves eye disease doctor I have encountered. I was sent to him immediately by attending physician, endocrinologist, Graves specialist and Mayo clinic. 24 hour accessibility to staff. Amazing care and follow up. He was considerate and compassionate with family and brutally honest with me about my disease. Highly recommended.

The process of scheduling an appointment is poor at best. It is very common to wait on the phone 30 minutes or more before they pick up, even though the answer message indicates someone will be with you shortly. They also do not call back if you leave a message. I don't care if they are short staffed or have some issues with scheduling, it needs to be fixed and fixed immediately. I have never had to deal with such poor scheduling from a major medical facility. It is beyond ridiculous.
