Dr. James Estipona, DO

My initial visit with Dr. Estipona went very well. He was courteous, attentive and seemed to ask "the right questions" wanting to get pertinent medical history and information. I was referred to get an Ankle Brachial Index (ABI) from the VVMC lab and scheduled a time (July3, 2024) to complete it. Here is where my INCREDIBLE FRUSTRATION begins. 1) After completing the ABI, I waited two weeks to hear from Dr. Estipona's team before calling/messaging through the patient portal to inquire about results. I was messaged that they were unaware of ANY RESULTS from any test for me. After 3 weeks with no communication from Estipona's team I went to VVMC's lab tp personally retrieve the results successfully. 2) I immediately went to Dr. Estipona's office intending to ask him or someone from his team why I hadn't been contacted and for them to consult with me regarding the results. I was informed that there was no one available from their team to talk to me but Kelly, Front Desk Mgr., was available to talk. I explained the situation and how someone had "dropped the ball" in communicating with me. She went to talk to their team and a poor excuse later, she returned to tell me that Dr. Estipona was out of town and that someone from Dr. Scott's office will "pick up the ball" and call to schedule a consultation regarding the ABI within 24-72 hours. 3) It has been one week and one day since Kelly told me this and I have yet to receive a phone call from either Dr. Estipona's or Dr. Scott's teams.

He has helped me navigate some tricky medical situations, Esoecially for myback! Thank you! However, I don’t get returned phone calls or portal messages! So his staff is a bit lacking but he is a five star doc by far!!!
