The Best Orthopedic Surgeon in California
I needed a total knee replacement, my 32 year old baseball injury finally was bone on bone. I was apprehensive about the surgery. Taking something out was acceptable, however putting a knee device inside was different. With each step a had pain. Doctor Caillouette answered all my questions and concerns. The surgery was perfect, no nerve loss, mild swelling, and limited discomfort. physical therapy was intense, albeit necessary. I'm pain free, flexibility is 145 degrees without pressure. Dr. Caillouette and his staff at Newport Orthopedic Institute are the best in sports, or life injuries and joint replacements. I recommend all my old college friends and ex-athletes to there office.

I had the BEST experience with my knee replacement and still feel amazing with it after 13 years next week! I had no pain after surgery to where I asked the hospital nurses to reduce the pain med drip. Also, when I got home I didn't even need pain meds at all. Dr. Cailloette's nickname, I was told by the nurses, is Angel Hands and I completely understand why. He so delicately surgeoned what was needed and didn't disrupt or harm anything else. I heard afterwards at my prescribed physical therapy sessions of horror stories from their other clients of how bad their knees were by other doctors surgery. I'm so grateful to have been recommended long ago to Dr. Caillouette! I love my knee and it loves my body, still. Feels like I was born with it! Now, my other knee is talking to me so I may be seeing Dr. Caillouette again soon.

I had 2 hip replacements by Dr. Cailloutte. Both surgeries were very successful. Physical Therapy after surgery is the key. I am back to down hill skiing again. I would recommend Dr. Cailloutte.

Dr Caillouette has performed 2 full hip replacements for me. One 6 months ago and the other 2 weeks ago. I'm thrilled with the outcome for both. He and Cara (his PA) listenef and responded to any concerns I had. The whole staff at both his Newport and Irvine office were caring and easy to deal with. I also have to give credit to Hoag Orthopedic Hospital. It was a surprisingly easy experience both times. The care was amazing. Thank you all!!

The most amazing experience for knee replacement surgery!! I live in Hawaii and thought this would be a horrible experience to get scheduled, set up and executed. The staff and Dr Caillouette were incredible from the minute I walked into the building for evaluation! The healthLoop personal website they have and support staff made this the smoothest surgery I have ever had! Incredible concern for infection and follow through....they were with me every minute!! I can’t say enough good things!!

So happy I choose Dr Caillouette. He is the best. Two months post surgery and very little pain, just a bit of stiffness. His whole team, including Hoag Orthopedic Hospital made the process a breeze. . My only regret is how long I postponed having the surgery done.

I would highly recommend Dr. Caillouette. I had TKR right knee - April 2016 and TKR left knee - November 2016. My outcome has been fantastic. I have full range of motion and no pain. I believe that my outcome is the direct result of Dr. Cailouette's skill as a surgeon and the excellent team behind him namely his PA Cara Walker.

Dr. Calliouette, his PA Cara and everyone I met and spoke to both pre-op, at the hospital and post-op were very kind, knowledgeable and helpful with my recent hip replacement surgery. I had been suffering for a year and had seen 2 different surgeons before I selected Dr. Calliouette to perform my surgery. I am very satisfied and would recommend HOI to all my friends.

When a surgeon is this good they are very busy, so it is key for them to have good support staff. HOI has pre-surgery seminars which help to prepare you for surgery, I was very impressed with the infection control procedures, I went into surgery and left HOI with detailed medication and ice therapy instructions to deal with pain, blood clots and side affects. In home PT was excellent and the NOI kept up with my work related disability paperwork. A first rate experience all around.

It has been 12 years since Dr. Caillouette replaced both of my hips and 8 years since he has replaced both of my knees . I have never had a problem post surgery with either and I am a regular golfer. Dr. Cailllouette was excellent and would highly recommend him.
