Health care in Tucson is indeed broken, but it isn't Medicare. It's the doctors and hospitals. My husband was recently helicoptered to St. Joseph's Neurologic institute for treatment of a stroke. He was treated very well there, and we asked that records be sent to Dr. Belitsos. Apparently not done and despite multiple calls to Dr, Belitsos office, and a personal visit to the office, we were unable to get the referral. Stonewalled by the office staff, with the Dr. sitting in his office.
