Dr. Jamal Bullocks, MD

Dr. Bullocks was presented by Kelsey-Seybold clinic as expert in breast cancer reconstruction. He performed my initial surgery at the same time as my mastectomy. Afterward I was told my cancer was Stage 3, needing radiation therapy. Dr. Bullocks said wait until 6 months after radiation to have the next reconstruction surgery. After 2nd surgery, my breast started swelling with fluid & his office had to keep draining it. At 3rd draining, I asked what was the matter. His assistant said the problem was the radiation, that “you never know how the flesh will react”. I asked if that is true, why did he perform the surgery? I received no answer & he left. My new plastic surgeon said prudent surgeons do not perform elective surgery on radiated flesh for that exact reason & now they can’t even cut if off (again due to the radiation). I will spend the rest of my life with a scarred, discolored, lumpy faux breast. I thought he was an experienced expert, not reckless & negligent.

Words can’t express my gratitude for Dr. Bullocks and his team. When I was at my lowest point he reassured me that everything was going to be ok. He performed reconstruction surgery after my bilateral mastectomy. My results are second to none, I’m still amazed and pleased with the outcome.

Dr Bullocks and his staff are true professionals. I was always at ease and he explained everything that needed to be explained. The procedure he did for me was some of the best work I have ever seen!
