Dr. Jake Rodi, MD

Been sick since 5/20 & unable to get better(just for a short time) completely. My first visit he spent at least an hour with me & knew my entire medical history before he came in to see me. My case is very complicated & almost impossible to treat due to Stage4 Kidney Disease, ISN Lung Disease, RA, High Blood Pressure, Syncope & a cage placed in my lower back. Dr. Rodi went over what few things he could start helping me with & so far I’m out of pain & improving. I know I’ll be 100% cured but I have one great doctor working to get me as comfortable &cured as possible. Dr. Rodi is so easy to talk to & reachable by text or telephone.

Very aware and understanding of all my questions.

Dr. Rodi is the most personable, kind, caring physician I have ever met, and I have worked in healthcare for over 20 years. He takes his time to make sure he understands you as a patient and treats you as whole, not symptoms from a textbook read in medical school. Words cannot express the high regard I hold him in as a physician. Will draw diagrams if needed or give his own personal experiences so you don’t feel like “the only one” going through a situation. I find Dr. Rodi to be a patient, thorough, doctor. He reminds me of the old small town Doc who cares enough about his patients to not only get to the root cause of there problems, but make them feel like a old friend everytime he sees them. I can not say enough good things, very highly recommended.

Dr Rodi is exceptional! His whole demeanor is confident, compassionate and very caring. He always looks like he's happy to be there taking care of his patients. He takes time to listen and explains everything without making you feel like it's a problem. He is positive and uplifting and nomatter how "dumb" I feel a question is, he never makes me feel dumb for asking. He's the kind of great Doctor that you think doesn't exist anymore, but he does!

I'm so glad Dr. Rodi is young....he won't retire on me anytime soon! He is the most considerate and hands-on Doctor I've ever had the pleasure to meet. He listens and actually hears what you say. He's always on time for my appointment and takes time for all my concerns. I never feel like he's rushing me out the door. My family already sees him and all feel the same as I do.

Dr. Rodi thank God for letting me decide to take an appointment with him when my primary was not available. This man truly cares about human beings. This man had saved my special needs daughter life so many times. My obese daughter also my entire family goes to him. Please keep him around for a long time. I have been going to Oschner since 1992 and he is the second doctor we have fallen in love ?? with. I believe we have been seeing him since he came to Oschner or shortly thereafter.

Dr. Rodi is an excellent doctor who goes far beyond what is expected to resolve my health issues. His energy, enthusiasm for medicine, and care of the patient is second to none. I highly recommend and am proud to have him as my primary care physician.

I did not know there were great doctors until I went to Dr. Rodi! This is a doctor who truly cares about his patients and their well-being. Since starting treatment under him, my lupus feels much more bearable. If you go to him, you will not regret it. I promise!
