He was nice, he was the only oral surgeon who would do my surgery, I was referred to three surgeons in Westchester and did not want to go to the Bronx. Two of the three surgeons I saw know him and recommended him.The area and staff was just OK. Hospital stay also just OK, nurses where terrible. I stayed overnight following my surgery.

I was terrified about having dental surgery, and my local dental surgeon was not in network. He recommended Dr. Bastidas, a 45 minute ride away. Each of the 5 trips I made to him confirmed Dr. Basisdas' professionalism, calm manner, educational tone, and confidence. He is surrounded by a bevy of residents at Montefiore, all of whom echoed Dr. Bastidas' recommendations, reassurance, and attention to detail. If I had to lose another tooth, it'd be in the Bronx.

He did my sarpe surgery on March 30, 2017. I haven't any problems post surgery and he was very friendly. I highly recommend him. He always wants to meet with his patients prior to doing the surgery and the surgery is pretty quick. I wasn't left with any pain.
