I was an inpatient and Dr. Tran was the neurologist on duty. She prescribed a medication that other neurologists have since told me was not needed nor safe for my condition. Had she paid attention to my pre-existing conditions she may have not prescribed that medication. I ended up back in the hospital less than two weeks later with acute pancreatitis from said medication. She has a terrible bedside matter, and I did not like her from the beginning, even before I ended up back in the hospital a second time.

She deserves no star
I am currently in patient for a multiple sclerosis attack to my optic nerve. This woman will fake a call after 2 minutes when she can not answer questions. I've been in Sutter for three days and she has yet to request my records from my last states hospital. She has no plan except to see if the 5 day steroids will help so she doesn't have to work and can send me out. I asked about treatment options and a plan of action. Her response was an out patient neurologist will handle that. Why do you have this woman going from bed to bed with NO ANSWERS. She is not someone with decent bedside manner and as someone who is still admitted, please come ask me. I fired her from my care case and requested someone with empathy and answers. Please do not waste your time if you have a chronic illness. She does not care to help you.

No bedside manners
During the whole visit, she was condescending and patronizing the patient. NO bedside manners. Mocking the patient and said that the patient is lazy and making up the symptoms.

A very unhappy patient – Aug 27, 2023

This is probably one of the worst experience I ever had. Dr. Tran simply just does not care about her patients. Her bedside manner was simply nonexistent. I was really surprised she still can practice in medicine after witnessing the way she treated her patients.

Dr. Tran is incredibly rude and arrogant. Belittles the patient and treats them like they are stupid. Don’t see her, if all possible. Find someone who truly cares about helping you. It’s definitely not her.

I saw Dr. Tran for a multitude of symptoms I was having including the following but not limited to: Body pain all over, numbness and tingling in arms and legs, IBS, extreme menstrual cycle problems, overactive bladder, nausea, weakness in body, fatigue, extreme back pain. I am 20 years old, was an athlete and full time student, and my health has been, for lack of better words, hell. I was very excited to see a neurologist and hopefully get some answers as to why I was in so much pain and discomfort. Dr. Tran, after reviewing my symptoms, suggested that nothing was wrong and that it could potentially all be in my head! After suggesting I see a psychologist or counselor to “relieve” my symptoms by being counseled, she stated the entirety of my health problems could be related to PTSD. She said “your mind is very powerful and it isn’t impossible you could be cured if your mental state was fixed”. I was diagnosed by rheumatologist with Fibromyalgia and spinal disc fissures. Thanks a lot!

I'm not one to leave negative comments, even when I've endured exceptionally bad experiences with physicians, but Dr. Tran was devastatingly emotionally hurtful. She was the second neurologist I had seen after a year of symptoms involving head tremor and tingling and numbness in my extremities. She performed a physical exam, which was thorough. But her dismissive bedside manner, and that she ordered no tests, no follow-up, and discredited me because of my mental health history was humiliating.

Dr. Tran is the absolute worst doctor I’ve ever encountered. I’m someone who has worked in medical settings all of my life and I’ve dealt with many physicians, but few and arrogant and unempathetic. I presented my diverse and confusing symptoms to her and she behaved as if she didn’t believe me. I was astounded. She did order a brain scan, however, and since it showed no definitive disease process, she completely dismissed that anything neurological was wrong. She’s a a bad, incompetent doctor.

I needed help and Dr. Tran didn't want to help me. She is not honest and good human. The purpose of a Doctor is to help people in need . Good Doctor will do that and will be there for the people not for the compensation. She is not professional. She does not have good knowledge about Neurology. Don't waste your time and your money.
