Dr. Jacob Markovitz, MD

I have been seeing Dr Markovitz for over a year, and he is rushed and doesn't answer your questions. He will give some generic response without really asking more details and figuring out what is happening. I called the office when I was 9 weeks pregnant because I had some bleeding (not heavy, but enough to get me worried) instead of asking for more info, he said oh that is normal during pregnancy. When i asked if i can be seen, he made it seem like i was being dramatic, but told me to come in tomorrow if i was still bleeding. Later that day i started bleeding so much and miscarried. When i saw him for my follow up, it was so rushed and didnt answer my questions. I am very disappointed in the level of care i received.

Speedy appointment for new emergency patient, lovely staff. Dr Markovitz struck me as an excellent physician and diagnostician, who takes a lot of time, and he's caring. I'm old enough to compare many, and he's one of the best. If this is your first visit, get precise instructions how to find the office building and where to park, parking is very convenient.

Terrible experience. He made me do a C-Section but wrote in the chart "the patient has requested it", claiming that I asked him for it. I did not need it and now I suffer consequences of the unnesseary procedure. Very untruthful and evasive in his responses.

Dr. Markovitz was rude and sarcastic to me.

Dr. Markowitz is exceptional; has an outstanding bed side manner & sense of humor. I am terrified of the ob/gyn due to issues when I was younger but he made me feel extremely comfortable to the point where I am no longer terrified of yearly exams. His staff has been kind, courteous and professional at all times.

The one star DOES NOT reflect the care provided by Dr. Markovitz. My one star rating is for my experience with his office staff at my last appointment. As a result, I regretfully will not be coming back to see Dr. Markovitz. I came 10 minutes late to my appointment and I was told I would have to reschedule because I came late. Without going into all the details, I will not be returning as a patient and I would not recommend this practice to others.

Having lived in various cities, I have been to many different OBGYNs in my life. Dr. Markovitz is by far the most competent doctor I have ever seen. He is patient, caring and knowledgeable. I have always felt like my concerns were validated and my questions sufficiently answered. I cannot recommend him enough.

I am currently pregnant with my first child and new to EWH. EWH is wonderful so far, very organized. Dr. Markovitz is an exceptional physician and having just joined the practice, I am thoroughly impressed thus far. He is brilliant and as my husband has pointed out, when you ask him a question there is no "um" or "uh" in his response, he always gives you a direct, intellectual answer that makes sense. He is extremely caring and takes his time with you to explain things. Highly recommend.

I went to Englewood women's health for all my 3 babies so I've seen Dr. Markovitz several times. What i like most about him in addition to being very experienced is that he has great people skills. He never rushed visits, explained everything very clearly to me, always paid a lot of attention to my concerns and I enjoyed every visit I had with him. I had my best baby delivery experience with Dr. Markovitz, I highly recommend this doctor!

Dr. Markovitz is extremely knowledgeable about his field and takes his time to research, explain and answer all of your questions. He is thorough and I never feel rushed through my appointments. I have been seeing Dr. Markovtiz for 10 years and trust his advice/recommendations. My husband is a stickler when it comes to doctors and he feels very comfortable and confident with Dr. Markovitz delivering our first child. Truly a top quality doctor.

Dr. Markowitz is an exceptional physician. He took care of me during my 3rd pregnancy and I couldn't be happier with my care. He always took his time answering any and all of my questions and made himself available if I had any issues. I was extremely lucky that he was on call when I went into labor as the delivery was a very beautiful and emotional experience. I couldn't have asked for a smoother process. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for bright, caring and wonderful physician!

Dr. Markovitz is by far a superior physician. I have been with Englewood Women's Health practice since 2005 and have nothing but stellar experiences every visit and contact with office staff. Dr. Markovitz delivered my first child in 2013 and my natural labor experience was everything I could've imagined. I recommend Dr. Markovitz and his practice to all friends, family and colleagues due to his pristine bedside manner and cutting edge knowledge of gynecology. Thanks again, Dr. Markovitz!

I had been to other doctors that could not resolve my medical issues, Dr. Markovitz was able to diagnose my problem on the first visit. He takes time to discuss everything and I did not feel rushed or uncomfortable. Highly competent and caring doctor, his office staff is great too made me feel very comfortable. True professionals.

Dr. Markovitz is truly one of the most caring doctors out there. He is very considerate, intelligent, and extremely helpful. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an OB/GYN. He takes his time, always follows up, and is very comprehensive. I've had some medical issues and switched to this practice and have been so happy with my switch. The office staff is also all so great, from the receptionists to the medical assistants and phlebotomists. Highly highly recommend!
