Dr. Jaclyn Duvall, MD

Dr. Duvall is the first neurologist that I have seen that has not only listened to my concerns rather than brushing them off, but also given me clear explanations and suggestions. She has an immense amount of knowledge in her field and is proactive with helping her patients. I cannot say enough good things about her.

I was 2 minutes late for an appt and was told I could stay around for 4-5 hours or reschedule for 3 months later. I was told I was to be there 15 minutes earlier than my appointment time. I received a text that stated my appointment time (11:15am) and that I could precheck in which I did, answering their questions and paying my co-pay, nothing about arriving early at all. The receptionist stated I received an email and text with that information, I DID NOT! Also, just a few other things I would not have even mentioned if it wasn't for this. I had quite a few issues with my medication. I went an entire weekend with no medication due to being prescribed not once, but twice a medication that would not be approved through blue cross. I can understand the first one, but the second was denied because it was the same generic so of course it was not approved, again. My first appointment (1/10/2023) I was charged the full $300 and was finally reimbursed today for what insurance paid.

Dr. Duvall takes time to listen, is kind, patient and makes you feel important. She’s only been my neurologist for about a year and a half but I love her!

I moved to Oklahoma and left behind a famed neurosurgeon who had treated me for over a decade. I thought I'd never find anyone as knowledgeable, compassionate and likeable as he had been. Finding Dr. Duvall was a gift from God! Actually, my neurosurgeon, in another state, assisted in getting me in to see Dr. Duvall. Patients can wait for several months to get an appointment with her, but it is worth the wait. I'm not going to say she's better than my former doc, but I'll hint at it. (She is better.)

Dr. Duvall only spent 10 minutes with me during my initial patient consultation, despite my having a complex case. She spent even less time at the next visit. She did not ask questions or listen to me to try to understand my unique symptoms. I noticed after my visit that some of the information she documented in MyChart was inaccurate. She did not warn me of all the risks and side effects of the medicines she prescribed. My health has declined drastically since becoming her patient. She has a policy of not completing any disability paperwork or paperwork to take time off work (other than a doctor's note for the actual day of your appointment), so when my migraines got worse after being treated by her, I was forced to work with severe migraines. I did not feel that she treated me as an individual but just as a number. She also requires you to be at appointments 30 minutes early despite also requiring all paperwork to be completed 24 hours in advance of the appointment.

I have been visiting Dr. Duvall for approximately a year and a half for chronic migraines that have been present in my life for 35 years. I'm currently doing therapy and medications. Thank you for helping me overcome this debilitating illness! I used to have to take off work and spend the day in a dark room with ice on my head. It is a difficult illness to deal with every day. Dr. Duvall is very knowledgeable, patient, kind and understanding to her patients. Everyone in the office is quick to respond and always helpful. I appreciate her medical practice and how it has helped me.

After suffering from migraines for the past 54 years and trying numerous treatments, Dr. Duvall was able to develop a treatment plan that works. My migraine episodes have subsided ten fold and, even when one breaks through, the pain is mild enough not to interfere with my routine activities. When consulting with her, one can tell that she not only has the knowledge to be in this field but also feel her passion for caring for her patients. She is a gifted, caring migraine specialist and Tulsa is lucky to have her.

Just had an incredible appointment with Dr. Jaclyn Duvall, my new neurologist and the only board certified headache specialist in Oklahoma. The world needs more doctors like Dr. Duvall. She is kind, empathetic, incredibly intelligent, and an excellent communicator. She helped me to understand not only how to get rid of the headaches, but also, WHY I have headaches… something no other doctor has taken the time to do. She trusted in my intelligence and my knowledge of my body, symptoms, and triggers. I am SO ENCOURAGED! It truly has been a path of darkness I have been walking, without much support or guidance from the medical community. I have experienced extreme self-doubt, damaging misdiagnosis, and mistreatment from doctors who didn’t have the expertise or concern to help me. My visit with Dr. Duvall was incredibly validating and I am so encouraged and have true hope and delight today for the first time in a long time.

Dr. Duvall took the time to listen to all my concerns and work out a treatment plan that works for me and she answered my questions and concerns.

Dr. Duvall and her staff are wonderful! I suffer with migraines, and Dr. Duvall listens to my concerns. She is working with me to find the right medication and treatment. I like that she doesn’t rush through my appointment. She and her staff have given me discount cards that have helped pay for the medication. I have insurance, but the savings card is very helpful! I highly recommend Dr. Duvall.

Dr Duvall is probably the best doctor I've ever been to. She listens well, she is familiar with my case when we meet, and she's constructive with her suggestions and treatment recommendations. Her office staff is competent, friendly, and organized. Choosing to work with a doctor with a migraine specialty is the best decision I've made regarding my migraine health. Since starting to see her, I've had much improvement in the number and severity of my migraines.

Dr. Duvall has helped change my life. My entire adult life I have dealt with severe migraines with not much success regardless of treatments. I have tried many over the past almost 20 years with little actual long term progress. Dr. Duvall has been a god send for me. She was and has been aggressive in treatment options and I can say without a doubt she is best migraine doctor I have ever had.

She is very knowledgeable on migraines. Trained at the mayo clinic. She is very up to date on new medications and therapies. Both visits I was in and out very quickly, but she didn't rush me. She went over my chart before my appt so she already knew about my history when I got there.

Dr Duvall is always available when there is a problem. She will help you and goes above and beyond.

Caring and thoughtful. Very interested in her patients and their well-being. So happy to finally be on the right path.

Dr. Duvall has been treating me for headaches for a while. She is very competent, very understanding, and she listens to what I have to say. I would recommend her to anyone who is having a headache problem.

Dr. Duvall is an excellent listener and is including patients to co-create necessary steps in migraine prevention and treatment! She always has a smile! It’s easy to talk to.
