The Good Doctor
Never take your necessities for granted. For over 25 years Dr Tarr has been taking care of me, now he is retiring. I will miss him, his quiet reserved and very professional yet personable character is uncommon in his profession. I dread doing the search for his replacement. I was given the name of a replacement doctor, who has 3 years experience. Dr Tarr has 47 years experience , remarkable difference, and impossible to replace in trust and confidence! I wish him the best, he certainly deserves it. But I will miss him and wish I had been more appreciative of his expertise and care the past 25 years! Good luck & enjoy your new life!! Your patients love you!

I saw Dr. Tarr with a sudden, unusual health problem. I felt very rushed to get through my appointment as quickly as possible. There are times when a 3 minute visit for something like strep throat will suffice. But on this occasion, I was very sick and needed serious attention. Dr. Tarr prescribed medication that made my problem much worse. I went back and he continued to keep me on it. I got a second opinion with a different doctor who not only went through all of my symptoms, but got me on a different treatment plan. My health issue is now gone and I am back to normal. I am very thankful for the second doctor's care and compassion for me during an emotionally and physically stressful time. .

Misdiagnosed my husband. Told him he did not have a sinus infection, when in fact he, according to the E.N.T. doctor we saw as a second opinion, he had a "raging" sinus infection, which later turned into/triggered Shingles in my husband's throat. As if that wasn't bad enough, later our pharmacy called to get a refill on my H's blood pressure medication - 3 times they faxed and call with no response from this office. No, we will not see him again nor would we recommend him to anyone.

I won't be going back! Didn't listen well to what was going on or have any sense of the urgency involved. Just prescribed a bunch of pills based on only minimal information, yet didn't even order what should have been the most basic tests for my symptoms such as x-rays or ultrasound. "Come back in 30 days." Really? You want me to continue suffering like this for another month? No, not happening. Already going elsewhere. FWIW: A week later I had to stop all Rx because of side effects.

Dr. Tarr has been my primary care physician for over thirty years which speaks volumes! He's personable and easy to discuss any medical issues I have and lately, he's even made a joke or two. I've never had a negative concern or issue regarding my standard of care from Dr. Tarr.

He is the most unprofessional doctor i have ever seen. He has no bed side manner to his patients. He is not sympathetic and very rude. I was having serious stomach issues and he just laughed. I only saw him on the emergency side because i couldnt get in with my doctor. NEVER AGAIN.

My husband was out of town on business and is a diabetic. He realized when he arrived that he had forgotten all his meds and asked me to call Dr Tarr's office the following morning. I called at 8 AM and explained to the receptionist what the problem was and that he is a diabetic and completely out of meds. I needed a real person to speak to so they could call SOMETHING into a pharmacy where he was staying. No such luck! No return phone calls, and no surprise, no calls to the pharmacy!

Dr Tarr has been my Doctor for over 10 years. Although I have been fortunate not to have any serious issues he has been very thorough in his exams and listens intently to my concerns. He has prescribed effective meds along the way as well as testing for heart or other issues.
