Reviewed the reason for my appointment with him to confirm my concernReviewed the procedure and the findings of the procedure. Recommended a follow up schedule based upon the findings to keep my situation from being a larger future issue. Gentle and VERY thorough in removing impacted earwax.

Dr. Burkhart is very compassionate and concerned about my ENT needs. He is always so thorough and works so carefully with Kelly, the amazing Audiologist.

My experience with Dr. Burkhart was frustrating. On my first visit, he cleaned my ear and prescribed antibiotics and drops for an ear infection. At my follow-up, the infection had improved, but I still had pressure and ear popping. He cleaned out more debris and suggested an auditory exam at the next visit, which I felt was unnecessary given my symptoms. When I declined, he became dismissive, implying that without the exam, he wouldn't be able to fully treat the ear infection. He spent much of the time staring out the window instead of addressing my concerns. It felt like he was pushing unnecessary add-ons, more like a car salesman than a doctor. With high out-of-pocket costs, I didn’t think an auditory exam would help with my ear infection. I will not be returning and plan to seek a second opinion from a more attentive doctor.

appt set for 9:50, did not go to exam room until 10:40. I asked what the problem was and was told desk are put us down for a NO SHOW. This was not good.

Dr barely had time for me. I waited over an hour and he spent less than minutes with me and seemed bothered that I had questions. His only solution was to schedule me for another appointment with a different doctor in 4 months. I left his office feeling like I should just give up. Doctors shouldn't make you feel like that.

Dr. Burkhart did a wonderful job removing my vocal cord nodule. He is personable and helped me identify my patient goals and how to achieve them. The staff at the outpatient center was also incredible.

Dr. Burkhart was thorough in his explanation regarding the problems with my nasal structure that was causing chronic sinusitis. The surgery he performed has completely improved my breathing(sinus/septoplasty/bone spur removal/turbinate). Aesthetically, my nose was very crooked and he straightened my septum perfectly. The results of his surgery have been better than expected both in correcting the issue and physical appearance.

I saw Dr. Burkhart due to trouble with hearing in my left ear. I was very satisfied with the outcome of my treatment by him. The hearing in my left ear not only came back, but was better than the hearing in my right ear. I would happily recommend him to others with hearing issues.

Was referred to this Dr by an audiologist for hyperacusis symptoms. Spent less than 5 mins w me and referred me to audiologist at OSU where he said OSU was ‘doing some things with hyperacusis’. The OSU audiologist knew nothing about this condition. They offered no therapy or solution. So I called back to Dr Burkhardt’s office to ask if I needed to see someone else at OSU- since he had referred me there because ‘there were doing some things w hyperacusis’. Left detailed message w his medical assistant and SHE NEVER CALLED ME BACK. I understand that this is a rare condition that is not well understood- but I feel like I’ve been blown off here. Sent on a wild goose chase just to get me out of his office. And charged 170.00 for a 5 minute visit and referral that was useless. First rule of medicine is ‘do no harm’. When you don’t treat people like human beings that’s the first thing you do- harm.

My experience with Dr. Burkhart, has been very good. He conducts himself in a professional manner, is always courteous, listens well and takes the time necessary to understand my concerns and/or needs. He explains everything that is going to take place and ensures that you are very comfortable and relaxed. He answers all questions and addresses any concerns. I would definitely recommend Dr. Burkhart.
