Dr Byrd is an extremely great surgeon. He saved my life and I will be forever grateful! His nurse Sherry is also awesome. Would definitely recommend!

So I know that this is a weeeee little late to be doing for such a great doctor BUT 6 years ago my then 32 y/o daughter had tongue cancer that was very aggressive. We were sent to Dr. Byrd by her Oncologist & radiation oncologist. She was told by the oncologist that if she did just radiation and chemo that the cancer would be back in 6 months to a year. Dr. Byrd made it very clear to her that if she did the surgery then she would have a much greater chance of it NOT coming back. He explained every single detail to her and how important it was to make a quick decision due to the aggressiveness of her cancer. She chose surgery and LET ME TELL YOU THIS MAN (DOCTOR) GAVE UP A DAY OF HIS TICKETS TO THE GOLF TERMINATE!!!!!!!!!! You DO NOT find doctors now days that will do that!!!!!!!! I am a nurse and this made me so impressed with him that I could not believe it!! He is very kind, caring, & shows compassion. My daughter is still cancer free after 6 years. Thank you Dr. Byrd for everything that you did for us! You are amazing & don't let anyone say any less about you!!

Dr. Byrd saved my daughter's life. She was diagnosed with an ethesioneuroblastoma. He spent 11 hours removing the golf ball size tumor from her. He not only saved her life, but also saved her eye as well when another facility was going to remove it. We are glad we found him and recommend him to all. He and his staff are caring and compassionate. Everyone from the front desk to the recovery and follow up where outstanding. Thank you!!!

When I was told I had tonsil cancer, Dr. Byrd was the doctor recommended. From the very beginning, I knew he was the right doctor for me. He is a pioneer in robotic surgery and through his demeanor, you know he is truly concerned about your well being. For example, he took great lengths to not only remove everything that could be cancerous, but he did keeping in mind future quality of life. I highly recommend Dr. Byrd!

Dr. Byrd is very thorough in examining and then explaining. He is very knowledgeable . I felt so good seeing him. He even concur his diagnosis with the other experts and explained it very thoroughly, calmly and confidently that really made me feel so good.
